Looks like dissent against Chrome OS is already being censored.

I left the following comment:

Quote
Chrome OS (from Google the CIA front) - "Change PCs Can Believe In"

Check this out. A Linux advocate now says he has Google overlords.

penguinpetes(.)com(/)b2evo(/)i ndex(.)php(?)title(=)i_for_one_welcome_our_new_google_overlo r(&)more(=)1(&)c(=)1(&)tb(=)1( &)pb(=)1

I checked about 10 minutes ago, and the comment is not there. It wasn't buried. It was outright deleted. The Google shills have completely taken over the Linux advocacy movement and ridicule and censor you if you dare criticize Google. Even Roy Schestowitz of boycottnovell.com and comp.os.linux.advocacy is shilling for Google.

UPDATE: Linux "advocate" Roy Schestowitz of boycottnovell.com is now smearing all criticism of Chrome OS as "shilling for Microsoft".

Schestowitz has been exposed as a Google shill.

Doesn't surprise me.  Linux will be co-opted sooner or later.

Hey Femacamper, I saw your comment on boycottnovell and left this comment. I wonder how long it will take before Google Roy decides to delete it.

Greetings from the Prison Planet and Propaganda Matrix forums, Femacamper!

How about boycottboycottnovell.com? lol But seriously, the moment Alex Jones makes any criticism of Chrome OS, Schestowitz will probably smear Jones as a Microsoft shill.

I wouldn't doubt  the "Chrome OS" is nothing more than a repackaged version of Linux like the Linux XP or Ubuntu. It is a lot easier to change an open source operating system enough to get a copyright than it is to develop one from scratch...A whole hell of a lot cheaper too! I use Ubuntu myself with Firestarter and a few other self written goodies that keep my privacy intact.

Looks like Shillowitz is now changing the commenting policy on his website to "combat abuse and intimidation from trolls". Bullshiiiiiiiiit. He knows he's been exposed as a Google shill for his fawning over Chrome OS, so now he wants to prevent people from exposing him as a shill. Shillowitz, you're busted!

Linux cannot be co-opted because of the freedoms set out by Richard Stallman.

The way people use Linux can be.

How many times in history, heck just in the last 50 years, have you seen people enthusiastically pile on to something only to find out it doesn't stand for what they thought it stood for?

I could've predicted this 10 years ago when I was confronted with Linux advocates telling me the OS was 'desktop ready' on the strength of an X desktop manager that had a Windows 98 like 'task bar'.  Cheesy

Uh, a 98 taskbar in '99? The point of Linux is that you can customize it however you want. I don't have a taskbar at all. I can make it look and act exactly how I want without anyone getting in the way. I don't even have to use a GUI. I've used Linux for my desktop since '96.
