Revelation debunks claim that bombs could not have been smuggled into twin towers & WTC 7

A new report by the Government Accountability Office inadvertently discredits a claim often made by 9/11 truth debunkers – that bombs could not have been smuggled into the twin towers or Building 7 without being noticed by security.

“In the past year, investigators successfully smuggled bomb-making materials into ten high-security federal buildings, constructed bombs and walked around the buildings undetected,” reports the Washington Post.

The GAO said that Federal Protective Service security at the offices of Homeland Security, the Justice Department and the State Department amongst others was easily penetrated by investigators carrying liquid explosives and low-yield detonators.

“In one instance, the GAO obtained a building security tape showing an investigator walking through a security checkpoint with bomb making materials,” according to the Post.

“We knew that the FPS was a troubled agency, but that GAO could penetrate security at these buildings and make bombs without detection is truly shocking,” said Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman.

Several factors would have made it easier for conspirators to smuggle bombs inside the twin towers before 9/11.

According to a September 12, 2001 Newsday report, “bomb-sniffing dogs were abruptly removed,” on the Thursday before the attacks took place. Heightened security procedures had been lifted just days before September 11.

Security for the World Trade Center complex was provided by Securacom, a company that counted amongst its directors Marvin P. Bush, the brother of President George W. Bush. The contract for security on the WTC complex ran “up to the day the buildings fell down,” according to Securacom CEO Barry McDaniel.

According to Scott Forbes, who worked in the south tower of the WTC for Fiduciary Trust, during the weekend of September 8th and 9th, there was an “unprecedented” power down which affected the top 50 floors of the south tower. The reason given for the power down was that cabling was being upgraded in the building.

The power down meant that all security cameras were not working during this period and according to Forbes, there were many “engineers” coming and going from the tower over the course of the weekend that Forbes had never seen before.

“When the South Tower collapsed, like a pillar of sand, it seemed unreal and inconceivable and I immediately thought something weird was going on. I became more suspicious several months later when the power down condition was never acknowledged and in some instances was denied by authorities,” said Forbes.

Forbes attempted to alert the 9/11 Commission to his experiences but was completely ignored.

Forbes’ statements are backed up by Ben Fountain, a financial analyst who worked in the World Trade Center, who told People Magazine that in the weeks before 9-11, There were a number of unannounced and unusual drills where sections of both the Twin Towers and Building 7 were evacuated for ’security reasons’.

Investigators smuggle live bomb components into federal building — in 27 seconds

http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/07/08/investigators-smuggle-live-bomb/

A Government Accountability Office investigator smuggled live bomb components into a federal building in just 27 seconds, then assembled a bomb in a restroom and ventured throughout the building without being detected, a leaked tape revealed Wednesday.

In addition, congressional investigators were able to penetrate every single federal building they probed without any difficulty — 10 in all.

A shocked Senate Homeland Security Chairman Joe Lieberman (I-CT) went off on the news in an article Wednesday by ABC News.

“It’s stunning. It’s shocking,” Lieberman quipped. “It just says that basically some people have forgotten the lessons of 9/11.”

A division of the Homeland Security Department is supposed to protect some 9,000 federal buildings across the United States. Fifteen thousand of their employees are private contractors, the network said.

The Federal Protective Service, a part of the Department of Homeland Security, is responsible for securing more than 9,000 federal buildings and, among other employees, utilizes 15,000 contract security guards.

“The GAO has been investigating the service since 2007 for a wide range of reported problems, and says it found serious vulnerabilities during visits to the 10 buildings,” the network noted. “ABC News obtained videos and images from the GAO investigation. Investigators are slated to publish their latest findings in a report later this summer, but Lieberman’s staff said he found the information compiled so troubling that he scheduled a hearing for today.”

“Just think about it. In this case, in this GAO test, ten different federal buildings in different cities in the country were all compromised,” Lieberman is quoted as saying in the report. “If a terrorist group just did that in two or three federal buildings, it would not only really hurt some people; it would create a real crisis of confidence here in the United States about our homeland security.”

Homeland Security released a tepid statement to the network’s reporters, saying the department “is committed to providing government facilities and employees with a first class security force. The Federal Protective Service (FPS) is charged with that critical mission and DHS takes the concerns raised in the forthcoming GAO report very seriously.”

Didn't they say that was impossible?
Now imagine with me if you will just how much could have been brought in during the two weeks time prior to 9/11, when the security was decreased and the bomb sniffing dogs were not present.

Security Flaws Found at Federal Buildings
By Ed O'Keefe Washington Post Staff Writer  Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Investigators from the Government Accountability Office over the past year successfully smuggled bomb-making materials into 10 high-security federal buildings, constructed bombs and walked around undetected, according to GAO testimony set to be delivered today. The investigation uncovered critical weaknesses in protection provided to workers by the Federal Protective Service, the agency in charge of safeguarding federal buildings. More than 1 million government employees work in 9,000 facilities nationwide that are guarded by the FPS, including at least 350,000 Washington area workers. The revelation comes as the administration prepare to reorganize the agency. The GAO said security concerns prevent it from revealing the exact locations of the facilities. They included offices of lawmakers as well as offices for the Homeland Security, Justice and State departments. In the past, security experts have criticized some GAO investigators for publicizing sensational findings that are not based on intelligence-driven risk assessments, but the GAO stressed that it followed generally accepted government standards. Staff writer Spencer S. Hsu contributed to this report.

What an earth shattering amount of content and resources that Washington Post provided to save the American people from another attack! And it appeared on page A15 (because MJ took up most of the first 14 pages).  What a surprise that the owner of WAPO (who is a Bilderberg member) made sure this was a small and hidden blurb. Thankfully Paul Watson, Prison Planet, and Rawstory realize how big it is.!

9/11 Security Courtesy of Marvin Bush

http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/911security.html

Marvin P. Bush, the president’s younger brother, was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport. The company, Burns noted, was backed by KuwAm, a Kuwaiti-American investment firm on whose board Marvin Burns also served. [Utne]

According to its present CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center "up to the day the buildings fell down."

The company lists as government clients "the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S Air force, and the Department of Justice," in projects that "often require state-of-the-art security solutions for classified or high-risk government sites."

Stratesec (Securacom) differs from other security companies which separate the function of consultant from that of service provider. The company defines itself as a "single-source" provider of "end-to-end" security services, including everything from diagnosis of existing systems to hiring subcontractors to installing video and electronic equipment. It also provides armored vehicles and security guards.

The Dulles Internation contract is another matter. Dulles is regarded as "absolutely a sensitive airport," according to security consultant Wayne Black, head of a Florida-based security firm, due to its location, size, and the number of international carriers it serves.

Black has not heard of Stratesec, but responds that for one company to handle security for both airports and airlines is somewhat unusual. It is also delicate for a security firm serving international facilities to be so interlinked with a foreign-owned company: "Somebody knew somebody," he suggested, or the contract would have been more closely scrutinized.

As Black points out, "when you [a company] have a security contract, you know the inner workings of everything." And if another company is linked with the security company, then "What's on your computer is on their computer." [American Reporter]

A heightened WTC security alert was lifted on 9/6/2001...
The World Trade Center was destroyed just days after a heightened security alert was lifted at the landmark 110-story towers, security personnel said yesterday [September 11]. Daria Coard, 37, a guard at Tower One, said the security detail had been working 12-hour shifts for the past two weeks because of numerous phone threats. But on Thursday [September 6], bomb-sniffing dogs were abruptly removed. [NY Newsday]

...there was a power down in WTC 2 the weekend before 9/11...
On the weekend of 9/8, 9/9 there was a 'power down' condition in WTC tower 2, the south tower. This power down condition meant there was no electrical supply for approx 36 hrs from floor 50 up... "Of course without power there were no security cameras, no security locks on doors and many, many 'engineers' coming in and out of the tower." [WingTV]

...Bush's cousin had a fortunate change of venue for a September 11 business conference...
President Bush's cousin should have been in the World Trade Centre when it was attacked. Jim Pierce, managing director of AON Corporations, had arranged a business conference on the 105th floor of the South Tower where its New York offices were based. But his group was too large so they decided to move across the street to the Millennium Hotel. [Annova]

...and it just so happens that Marvin was in New York on 9/11.

Both WTC 6 and WTC 7 were evacuated within minutes of Flight 11 striking WTC 1, but this did not happen in the twin towers. There were no evacuation announcements in WTC 1 following the plane strike, and workers were encouraged to stay in their building...

Dan Baumbach - WTC 1 Survivor:
Dan Baumbach, 24, a software engineer from Merrick, was stunned to find that building officials in One World Trade Center were telling workers not to evacuate even after the first jet struck. "You can try it, but it's at your own risk," he quoted one official as telling a group of 100 people on the 75th floor. Many chose to follow that advice; Baumbach continued his descent from the 80th floor and survived, but only after braving the debris that fell when the neighboring tower collapsed. "The reason we got out was because we didn't listen," he said. [Newsday]

Just a research note for interested parties the book: 102 Minutes: The unforgettable Story of the Fight to Survive Inside the Twin Towers by Jim Dwyer and Kevin Flynn: http://www.amazon.com/102-Minutes-Unforgettable-Survive-Inside/dp/0805094210/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348867147&sr=8-1&keywords=102+minutes

A little known fact that is revealed by this investigative team is that a number of floors in the twin towers were empty and only in use by ad hoc 'artists' who came and went as they pleased. It's a while since I read the book but I seem to remember a lot of 'bathroom refurbishment' going on too on these floors.

The book also gives a bang by bang account of the explosions that were heard by people inside the building and where they thought those explosions came from.
