The head of Mossad, Israel’s overseas intelligence service, has assured Benjamin Netanyahu, its prime minister, that Saudi Arabia would turn a blind eye to Israeli jets flying over the kingdom during any future raid on Iran’s nuclear sites.

Earlier this year Meir Dagan, Mossad’s director since 2002, held secret talks with Saudi officials to discuss the possibility.

The Israeli press has already carried unconfirmed reports that high-ranking officials, including Ehud Olmert, the former prime minister, held meetings with Saudi colleagues. The reports were denied by Saudi officials.

“The Saudis have tacitly agreed to the Israeli air force flying through their airspace on a mission which is supposed to be in the common interests of both Israel and Saudi Arabia,” a diplomatic source said last week.

Although the countries have no formal diplomatic relations, an Israeli defence source confirmed that Mossad maintained “working relations” with the Saudis.

John Bolton, the former US ambassador to the United Nations who recently visited the Gulf, said it was “entirely logical” for the Israelis to use Saudi airspace.

Bolton, who has talked to several Arab leaders, added: “None of them would say anything about it publicly but they would certainly acquiesce in an overflight if the Israelis didn’t trumpet it as a big success.”

Arab states would condemn a raid when they spoke at the UN but would be privately relieved to see the threat of an Iranian bomb removed, he said.

Referring to the Israeli attack on an alleged Syrian nuclear facility in 2007, Bolton added: “To this day, the Israelis haven’t admitted the specifics but there’s one less nuclear facility in Syria . . .”

Recent developments have underscored concerns among moderate Sunni Arab states about the stability of the repressive Shi’ite regime in Tehran and have increased fears that it may emerge as a belligerent nuclear power.

“The Saudis are very concerned about an Iranian nuclear bomb, even more than the Israelis,” said a former head of research in Israeli intelligence.

The Israeli air force has been training for a possible attack on Iran’s nuclear site at Natanz in the centre of the country and other locations for four years.

DeJa Vu, remember George Bush Sr. making these remarks before Iraq invaded Kuwait?

White House would not prevent Israeli strike on Iran, Joe Biden says

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article6651910.ece

Vice-President Joe Biden has said that the United States would not stand in the way if Israel chose to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, even as he reiterated an offer to Tehran for negotiations over its nuclear programme.

In an interview on ABC television, Mr Biden said the US could not interfere with any sovereign decision that Israel might take to defend itself against an Iranian nuclear threat.

“Look, Israel can determine for itself — it’s a sovereign nation — what’s in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else," Mr Biden said. “We cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do.”

Mr Biden’s remarks came even as the top military official in the US warned of the “unintended consequences” of a strike against Iranian nuclear sites.

Israel has made little secret of its desire to deal with Iran militarily, although senior military officials there admit that they probably lack the capacity to guarantee success.

White House officials denied that Mr Biden’s remarks marked a toughening in Washington’s attitude to Tehran in the wake of the Iranian Government’s hardline stance against protests against the disputed elections.

They may indicate, though, how Washington is striving to keep ahead of the quickly changing situation in Tehran after its offer of re-engagement. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that the military option could not be taken off the table even as the Administration pursued engagement.

By appearing to support Israeli military action, Mr Biden may be hoping to apply indirect pressure on Iran without having to issue any such threat himself, keeping diplomatic channels clear. Washington is aware that Israel would be unable to launch any strike without its co-operation to secure airspace rights over Iraq.

Israel’s hawkish Foreign Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, welcomed Mr Biden’s comments today praising them as “very logical”. Although the two allies sometimes have disagreements over the wisdom of Israeli military action, he noted, “at the end of the day the decision is ours”.

Israelis, however, are keenly aware of what the short-term consequences of a strike on Iran could mean for its own security, despite the widespread belief that a nuclear armed Iran would pose an existential threat.

The chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, warned that Iran would respond to any attack by Israel. “If it occurred, then the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond in a very full-scale and very decisive way,” he said.

Now Hillary Clinton's remarks

Don’t discount Israel pre-emptive strike, Hillary Clinton warns Iran
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article6451892.ece

Hillary Clinton refused yesterday to rule out a pre-emptive Israeli military strike on Iran. It was the first time that a senior member of the Obama Administration had openly discussed such a possibility.

The US Secretary Of State, speaking a few days before elections in Iran that will determine the fate of President Ahmadinejad, also warned that the country would face retaliation if it launched a nuclear attack on Israel.

As President Obama extends “an open hand”, seeking direct talks with Tehran in his attempt to halt its nuclear programme, Mrs Clinton appeared ready to unnerve the Iranian leadership with talk of a pre-emptive strike “the way that we did attack Iraq”. She said that she was trying to put herself in the shoes of the Iranian leadership, but added that Tehran “might have some other enemies that would do that [deliver a pre-emptive strike] to them”. It was a clear reference to Israel, where Binyamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, has talked about the possibility of military action to halt Iran’s nuclear programme — something he views as a threat to the Jewish state.

Mrs Clinton, interviewed on the ABC programme This Week a year after she conceded to Mr Obama in the Democratic primary race, said that it was US policy that a nuclear attack by Iran on Israel would be seen as an attack on the US.

“I don’t think there is any doubt in anyone’s mind that were Israel to suffer a nuclear attack by Iran, there would be retaliation,” she said, though she did not spell out who would retaliate. She was responding to a question about her statement as a presidential candidate last year, when she said Iran would “incur massive retaliation from the United States” if it attacked Israel.

Yesterday she said: “Part of what we have to make clear to the Iranians is that their pursuit of nuclear weapons will actually trigger greater insecurity.” She noted that Israel and Arab states were “deeply concerned about Iran having nuclear weapons”.

She added: “So, does Iran want to face a battery of nuclear countries?”

If anyone one needs a knee to the neck it is that nation of SA. They are in bed with the elites who are in bed with the devil. Who can respect people who wear picnic table clothes on their heads. They are the elites boys in the middle east and have promoted the illuminists designs to destroy all monotheism via their greed and going along with the system.

but our president bows to them, well I guess that says who we knee too...or who own's him. Our uncle tom president, who is buddies with uncle tom bush and clintong, and reagan etc.

... and I suppose Obama wouldn't stand against an Israeli strike, becuase we the people wouldn't possibly be opposed to an action that could cause a nuclear confrontation in the middle east??? I'm so sick and damned tired of politicians having their own agendas, and saying "f**k you" to their constituents.

HAHAHAHAHA no they are not. The clerical council in Saudi Arabia would have the House of Saud deposed within the week if it were remotely true.
Why Saudi Arabia is making friends of convenience with Israel is simple. Saudi Arabia is Sunni, Iran is Shiite. Both consider the other infidels. Iran has just as much a problem with Al CIAda as did the Iraqis. Because it is religious ideologically motivated killings.

Iran, as a Shiite nation, would very much replace Saudi Arabia as the regional powerhouse. Hence Saudi's being A-OK with Israel doing the dirty work. And if Iran degrades the Israeli Air Force, double bonus for Saudi Arabia.

Most definitely a Jew. Woman sitting at the table next to you at the restaurant? Jew. Person looking back at you from your bathroom mirror? Jew.

Jews, we are everywhere and we have come for your women.  Grin

Oh man, your sarcasm meter must be broke. Forced conversions is so islamochristianity. I think maybe way back when around the Iron Age we tricked a village that raped a Jewish girl into getting circumcisions and we totally tagged them.

Other than that, becoming a Jew can spread by touch, airborne virus and sitting on toilet seats. Be afraid, be very afraid, any day now Jews could come over the hill and get you while you sleep!

Or is it black people? Seems black people are the new target du jour on the board lately. Makes a Jew feel unloved, unwanted and unnecessary.
