Author Topic: Serious Disagreements with Alex which couldn't get First in Line from Refeed  (Read 2121 times)

Moderators, move this topic if you have a better place for it.

Perhaps other people have this problem... I normally listen to Alex on REFEED. Yet, even when I'm listening live; I don't really have a disagreement in principle with him but want to disagree with some point he's made. I do, admittedly, disagree in principle with Alex on some major points.

I'm not dense. I get the point about the Live On-Air "Questions for Alex" blog. It's for QUERIES: no declarative statements, congratulations, rhetorical questions, or critical questionning of statements that Alex has made on the air (although I've sometimes done this last). The questions should be something like: "Master, can you show us the right door to Heaven?" or "Master, can a man stop to bury his father and still follow you?" Wo-o-o! I'm being facetious: I'm just attempting an exaggeration for comic effect. I'm not claiming that Alex speaks ex-cathedra (from a throne). But any talkshow host needs to be protected from inflammatory comments while he/she is trying to do a progam on air.

By "Serious Disagreements" I don't mean necessarily polemical attacks on his basic principles: I mean "serious" as the opposite of "gratuitous". So, please keep it serious in that sense!

Alex took my on-line "Ask Alex" comment about pony tails seriously. Thanks, Alex! It's worth joking about. But, more seriously, people with long hair and pony tails had their hair sheered in the early '70s by the Papadopoulos fascist regime in Greece. Incidentally, I know a local Greek family with the name Papadopoulos and they're great folks, as most Greeks I've met.

So, this topic - if it flies - is for questions and statements for Alex that are critical of things he's said - facts and opinions - that disagree with him. I love Alex and listen to him regularly and promote his work. Alex is the representative of honest conservatism, as far as I can tell; so, I certainly don't want to change that because Leftists like me need to hear what conservatives are saying and to debate them honestly. See my website: http://abomi.home.mindspring.com

Heavens! I'm going to be chastised by my fellow partisans of the Left and my feminist and secular-humanist friends for saying this! Listen, you pseudorevolutionaries, you misanthopes, we need to get behind our honest Right-thinking fellow working people and defend them from the despotic élites and from mindless attacks from their flunkies!

Alex today made fun of his own statement about pony tails today on air. You're right, Chrisfromchi, I'd misspelled it! I changed it to "pony tails" a minute ago.

My first, and more serious, disagreement with something Alex said today is about the word "commissar", as if it were a Stalinist invention. "Kommissar" was in pre-1917 in Germany the common term for a ranking police officer. "Polizeikommissariat" was the German word for "police station". It can be found in pre-Hitler Era German literature, so it's not a nazi word either.

"... (mit Fugen-S) bezeichnet, ist das Gebäude des Hamburger Polizeikommissariats"
commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Davidwache

Many words that were common before the consolidation of the Russian Revolution of 1917 were purged from the new anti-Bolshevik newspeak. For instance, the word "comrade", which was the common form of address between soldiers, became anathema in the U.S. Uniquely in the U.S., the word 'propaganda' was redefined to mean "false propaganda", whereas it is commonly used elsewhere to mean "publically disseminated information".  Even today, the dictionaries try to tell us that 'Communism' with a big 'C' is different from 'communism' with a small 'c': what nonsense!

Most dictionaries take the etymology of the word 'bigot' as far as the Spanish word 'bigota' "a man with a big moustache". What they don't tell us is that the Spanish use this word because during the Spanish Inquisition they overheard the Austrian guards of the Inquisition, who all sported big moustaches, saying, "Bi Gott!". So, bigotry is connected historically with religious persecution: my German etymological dictionary makes this clear since the Germans use this same word with the spelling 'bigott'.

The Philosophy of Epicurus http://wiki.epicurus.info/ was similarly smeared by the Stoics and the official Church following them. The dictionaries today say that 'epicurean' means having to do with gastronomy and even gluttony, whereas Epicurus himself considered a piece of bread and glass of water-down wine a banquet. Epicurus was described by his followers and contemporaries as an extremely moderate person: something that is in line with his stated philosophical principles. Similarly, the word 'materialism', which has been redefined to mean "avaricious" or "acquisitive" (desirous of possessing things). Epicurus was, along with Democritus, a founder of the Philosophy of Materialism. "Avoid the Epicurean," says the Talmud.

Thank you for the clarification!
I enjoy learning more about languages and the true etymology fo terms we use today.  Smiley

Alex was really on the money today. Sorry I wasn't listening to the live show. "A [phoney] Right and Left NATO, a [phoney] Right and Left World Bank/IMF, etc." This came at the end of a mighty rant, so I'm thinking that sometimes the really big rants clear Alex's mind for him.

I still don't think Alex takes the idea of the "false Left-Right paradigm" far enough, though. I wouldn't for a minute buy the idea that the NWO institutions that Alex named are anywhere near the real Left side of the paradigm. Marxists in NATO, the World Bank? - an absurd notion! That's the serious disagreement I have with Alex.

The truth is illusive. Just beyond everyone. All truths of the Left are short of the real truth; all truths of the Right are short of the truth.

There is no absolute truth within our human understanding. That's why life continues to be mysterious for everyone to some degree or other. What the authentic Left has and what the authentic Right has are tools with which to get closer to the truth: only tools. Our minds are tool chests of a sort. Our mental tools sometimes function well with routine maintenance; sometimes only with radical grinding and refitting. Sometimes we have to throw a dysfunctional tool away and grasp a better one.

I love Alex's rants. A good rant clears the mind. That's the way real humans function.

I believe that an adult pig or cow is more sentient than a second trisemester human fetus. And that an adult woman is more sentient than both. That's why I think the decision to abort a fetus should be between a woman and her chosen physician (and not a Government or Church authority). Alex, I guess that makes me a eugenicist.

No.  Just programmed.  I was too.  Check out the eugenicist threads here.  A good start is to watch endgame (BTW I was awake about this before I ever heard of Alex)  But there was too much programming from the media to ensure women have abortions.  What really turned my head to the truth is the programs in children's schools for girls to get abortions, free, and with out parental consent or knowledge.  That woke my ass up about the abortion industry.

Alex,

I couldn't agree with you more that Barack Obama is dangerous and that people aren't waking up fast enough. However - and you can call me a stuffed shirt if you like - I think the effectiveness of these Joker rants is questionable. Not that I don't enjoy your rants. And I know your Joker rants come from the heart. Believe me, I feel the same frustrations. But I'm just not sure that it's good psychology. In fact, it may even turn off people who should be hearing what you're saying.

The Joker got some attention, so now maybe it's time to back off and talk seriously. Therefore, I'd advise you to add a follow-up video where the real Alex Jones - "mild man and patriot fighting a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way" - calmly discusses why he came out as the Joker in the first place. Maybe do it as a call-in segment. This would still all the voices trying to paint you as a madman.

Or maybe the madman image is something you're trying to cultivate to keep them from killing you. I certainly couldn't blame you if that's the case. But, in my humble opinion, it sure undermines your effectiveness for a lot of the people you're trying to reach with the truth.

Chemicalrain,
Sorry you didn't stick your neck out and tell me what so upset you about the thread.

What I had in mind for a follow-up on the Joker rants was on the order of this video. Have you ever seen anyone more level-headed and sane? ...Alex Jones exposes system's attempt to stir up racism

Great job, Alex!

Alex,

The Red Army went into Afghanistan for the smack (opium)?! What's your evidence? I think this is projection coming from your (sometimes suppressed) jingo second self.

See the video showing the tortured discussion that went on in the Soviet hierarchy over whether to answer the call for help from the government of Babrak Kamal and go into Afghanistan. Sorry it's in Spanish ("español" page, "What you should know about Afghanistan"), but the point is made by the agonized faces. Also featured prominently: Reichsführer Jimmy Carter and his propaganda minister and genocidal Chefrealpolitiker Zbigniew Brzezinski, who can be heard in English in the film. "Lo que debe saber sobre Afganistán"

Well, Alex, I see you've backslid into your old Goebbels-isms. Karl Marx, who personally represents the greatest threat that capitalism (note: capitalism, not free entreprise) ever knew, was an agent of the top power structure of capitalism, namely the boardrooms of the central bankers???

Something reminiscent of your recently infrequent slander of Christian Rakovsky, following the outrageous claims of Henry Makow based on the antisemitic lies of Rakovsky's Stalinist torturers.

Dr Henry Makow's article is a fascist hit piece.

Here's the results of some research I've done on Dr Henry Makow. His article on Rense.com proclaims his debt to anti-Semite writer Des Griffin, whose books are recognized in Germany as representative of the far right (see below).

The following statement by Dr Makow, except for the Illuminati tie-in and claim of top-side unity, is representative of Adolf Hitler's view of what the Second World War was all about: "I suspect the Second World War was a battle for racial superiority between Jewish and Aryan wings of the Illuminati who in fact are united at the top." See his article here.

If the left-right paradigm is false, why do you continually embrace the ideas of Adolf Hitler on the subject of the Protocols, socialism, and the Comintern (note: the "Axis" was a nickname for the Anti-Comintern Pact of Hitler and Mussolini) -- taking the side of fascism squarely against socialism and even the liberalism of John Stuart Mill?

Griffin, Des

"Anti-Semitism", Freedom Or Slavery? (1990)
Descent Into Slavery (1988)
Fourth Reich of The Rich (1989); Storming The Gates Of Hell (1997?).

Herausgeber, Autor und Inhaber der Emissary Publications, Clackamas, Oregon
Des Griffin

Des Griffin

Des Griffin specializes in conspiracies and end-time prophecies. On his website he offers extensive links to "patriots", but also to the websites of the 93-year-old leader of the "Worldwide Church of God," Herbert Armstrong. The Griffin-books are also found in the book distribution of  Noontide Press.

In German-speaking countries, Des Griffin is known primarily from the work Who rules the World, which appeared in the publications of publisher Ekkehard Franke-Gricksch who specializes in right-wing-conspiracy theories. This is in large part a new edition of the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", a crude anti-Semitic forgery from the turn of the century, whose author can be identified as the Tsarist secret services and which against all better knowledge is again and again ascribed to the Jews to prove their alleged plans for a worldwide Jewish conspiracy. Some of his works have also appeared in editions of Ewert Verlag, the publishing house of Jan van Helsing.

In 1996 there was a a criminal complaint against the Swiss publisher of "Memopress" because of the breach of the anti-racist penal provision, because it had offered the indexed publications by Des Griffin and Jan Van Helsing. Emil Rahm was sentenced in March 1997 by a single judge for criminal offense against the anti-racist penal provision to pay a fine of 5,000 francs. Rahm accepted the verdict, but also started a "Petition to the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation for the Protection of Freedom of Speech", as a "spin" would require.

In April 2000, the "Lebenskunde-Verlag" [Life Skills Publisher] (Headquarters: Dusseldorf; Owner: Kurt Winter) announced a new edition of Griffin's book, acts as a publisher, according to Publisher spokesman Ekkehard Franke-Gricksch, who is also writing the foreword. The anti-Semitic hit piece, subject to the evidential review in Switzerland, is obviously intended to be distributed through the established bookseller and its wholesalers and via ordering online. For reasons still unknown, it hasn't appeared. The 1996 edition, which also appeared in a Lebenskunde-Verlag edition, was marketed through esoteric and relevantly well-known book distributors, but is also available in the listings of the online retailer Amazon.

"Unpolitical"??? Give me a break, Alex! You're a partisan of the U.S. capitalist establishment, claiming to stand above the "left" and "right" wings of the party of big capital with two right wings, not distinct from the bird itself. You're against Obama because he's not a good representative of this same ruling class, like youself, so you exaggerate and call him a "communist" - just the same way the extreme right of the Republican Party called liberal capitalist politicians "communists" during the 1950s McCarthy Era, the same way Hitler called German liberals and social democrats "Jewish bolsheviks" in the 30s. It's getting old and it's not going over.

Alex,

First, thank you for making the ludicrous statement about Vladimir Illich Lenin. What you claimed Lenin had said about wanting the Earth and the Sun destroyed is preposterous. Such a statement will prompt many Infowars/Prison Planet visitors to research what Lenin actually said. Lenin's documented works, letters, and public statements can be found at http://www.marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/index.htm  Thank you, brother.

We have differences, conservative brothers and sisters, but we should not debate over misrepresentations because there are enough disagreements over our actual positions - and there are some agreements, as well.

Also, the name "National Socialist" was a well-known fraud. Real socialism (not the Fabian or Stalinist variety) is a transnational, international movement. The Third Reich was not socialist at all. It had a (so-called) "free market", not a command market like the one in the Stalinist U.S.S.R. - this point was well made in Schindler's List. The von Campe interview was a good idea, though; since we know far too little about the early days of Hitler Germany. I'd like to hear from another German historian who could tell us how a patriotic movement in opposition to Anglo-American oppression became a totalitarian one bent on world domination.

One thing more. Alex, you are far from exceptional in not being able to pronounce German words and names correctly. But I wanted to tell you that, when you see a final 'e' in a German word or name, it's pronounced like 'uh' - not 'eh' or 'aye'. So, Hilmar von Campe's name would be pronounced /HILL-mahr vawn CAM-puh/. Herr von Campe was polite enough not to correct you. The 'C', which is unusual if the spelling is correct, is a Latinization for German 'K' (which occurs in some proper names).

No it just means you haven't watched In The Womb nor the shorter film The Silent Scream on youtube.
