my theory..
... i think they are gonna build her up as an "independent" candidate for 2012 to appease the people that are realizing dem and rep are horrible.
Precisely, and let's display
how that is done.
Most of you are (or should be) aware of the Hegelian dialectic, that of proposing a thesis (problem), giving rise to its antithesis (reaction), which contradicts or negates the thesis, with the tension between the two being resolved by means of a synthesis (solution). Thesis-antithesis-synthesis or problem-reaction-solution. (
Here is one Youtuber's explanation.)
What is taking place right now is a false creation of partisanship among those who helped "create" Palin during the election. I speak of neocon Bill Kristol and his protégé
David Frum (former speech writer to George W. Bush; inventor of the "axis of evil" concept). These two are now enacting false opposition; one for, the other against.
Kristol, as a
Palin supporter, writes that "elite America hates Sarah Palin [...]. But if she wears their scorn as a badge of honor, comports herself with good cheer and personal dignity, studies up on national issues and takes the lead in selected debates on behalf of conservative principles against Obama administration policies,
she has a shot."
Frum,
afraid of Palin, writes: "No national candidacy has ever collapsed so rapidly and totally as Sarah Palin’s in 2008. The evidence is strong that she is the only vice presidential nominee in history to have had a significant impact on voting preferences--and negatively so. Since voting day, she has only continued to lose ground."
They both present diametrically opposite positions, and in doing so, they can catch the fallout vote. Those who identify themselves as center-right or conservatives (or just anti-Obama), but have had it with the GOP. Subsequently, a new candidate (sock puppet) will emerge from the background, untainted by the current ongoings.
And my question remains: are there still any Palin supporters out there?
