ok here we go....
WTF happened to river phoenix anyway?
What happened to Heath Ledger?
How healthy was the Olson twins' childhood?
What happened to the childhood of the heir to the Barrymore fortune?
There are thousands of stories like this.
HOLLYWOOD EATS THEM UP, SUCKS THE BLOOD OUT OF THEM, AND SPITS THEM OUT.
The predictive programming of "American Idol" and other such nonsense ensures a fertile stock of slaves from which to put into the meat grinder. We are spoon fed it from cradle to grave. The reason I do not watch MTV is because I cannot even understand WTF is going on. I tried watching some "fear show" where a friend sets up another friend to be involved in a scenario that would constitute a bona fide act of terrorism, gruesome murder, child abuse, etc. then after the friend pisses their pants they say "just kidding". I mean what has happened to my country, this obvious demoralization and dehumanization of our youth is supposed to be entertainment?
These people in the limelight that get pushed into the meat grinder by their family, friends, peer pressure, or their own programing are used like the horse in Animal Farm. If just a few people in Hollywood really came out full throttle on truth, wow! "Day of the Locust" would seem like a nursery rhyme.
Give them some space to breathe in here, let them know they can come on in the water is fine.
You know what, sane? I think you're right. Those people were waking up in costa rica, and they tried to recondition them, heidi got sick, spencer cried foul, then the NBC execs got mad and put the damage control/smear campaign mechanism in place.
flashback to 2006SHOPPING WITH -- Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag; Blond Ambition Comes in Flats or Heels
By LOLA OGUNNAIKE
Published: June 11, 2006
LAUREN CONRAD, the star of ''The Hills,'' a new MTV reality series, trolled for shoes recently at the Santa Monica outpost of Fred Segal with her best friend and co-star, Heidi Montag. It was shortly before ''The Hills'' began its run, and the two women were relishing not having to look prime-time perfect.
When the show begins, Ms. Conrad, 20, said, inspecting a baroque pair of Guillaume Hinfray sandals, ''then you have to start really worrying about everything you wear, because you know you might be photographed.'' She checked the price on a pair of black flats. ''Five hundred dollars,'' she said. ''I bet you could get them cheaper at a dance store.''
A Cognac-colored pair of Chloé platform sandals caught her eye. ''We used these during a shoot, and all the models kept falling,'' she recalled. ''I was like, 'Ha ha, I have on flats.' ''
Three years ago, Ms. Conrad was one of eight well-to-do teenagers chosen to star in ''Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,'' which chronicled the daily lives of the young and indulged in Southern California. The show became a huge success, and MTV placed a bet that ''Laguna'' fans would want to watch Ms. Conrad navigate her charmed post-high-school life in a spinoff. She has left home and attends fashion school in Los Angeles, where she shares a luxury apartment with Ms. Montag, and has landed a coveted internship at Teen Vogue.
'' 'The Hills' is to 'Laguna Beach' what 'Melrose Place' was to 'Beverly Hills 90210,' '' said Tony DiSanto, one of the show's executive producers. ''But it wasn't like we said, 'Hey, we need a spinoff. Let's come up with something.' We just thought it would be cool to watch as L.C. entered into this new phase in her life.'' Training cameras on the pretty and pampered has proved a winning formula for MTV. Shows like ''My Super Sweet 16'' (overzealous teenagers planning $200,000 birthday parties), ''Tiara Girls'' (pageant queens in $3,000 gowns) and ''Cribs'' (a hipper version of ''Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous'') have been solid hits. The second season of ''Laguna Beach'' averaged 3.2 million viewers an episode, an impressive number in the cable world. ''The Hills,'' which made its debut on May 31, is already off to a strong start, Mr. DiSanto said. According to MTV, the season premiere reached more than 2.9 million viewers and was the most-watched show on television for the 8 p.m.-to-11 p.m. slot among viewers 12 to 24 years old, a prized demographic. ''We're ecstatic about that number,'' Mr. DiSanto said. ''It puts the show right up there with 'Laguna' and the other major hits we've had.''
When L.C., as Ms. Conrad's sun-kissed friends call her, starred on ''Laguna,'' she doubled as the show's narrator, recapping the previous episode before every show. Off screen, getting her to elaborate is like trying to extract a stubborn molar. Does she enjoy having her life captured for mass consumption? ''It's become normal,'' she said, shrugging resignedly. ''I've spent the last two years of my life doing it, so it's not weird to me.''
In fact, it is her wide blue eyes, which she plays up with heavy liner and mascara, that do most of the talking. ''She internalizes a lot, so with L.C. it's all about reading her face,'' Mr. DiSanto said. ''If you look at her face you can always tell what she's thinking and feeling.''
Ms. Montag, by contrast, is anything but shy and retiring. While Ms. Conrad sits quietly, her roommate easily commands the conversation, breezily discussing boy troubles, her love of Replay denim and her fashion influences. ''I love how the Olsen twins dress, and I also like Jessica Simpson and Sienna Miller's style,'' she said. Britney Spears, however, did not impress her. ''She's trying way too hard,'' she said.
In something of a surprise, Ms. Montag, 19, is emerging on ''The Hills'' as the most compelling figure to watch -- as those with no filter often are. In the first episode she bombs during a meeting with an adviser at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
Her sole ambition, she tells her interviewer, is to be a ''Party P.R. girl.'' Then, by Episode 2, which appeared on Wednesday, she was flirting with the idea of dropping out (''I just don't think school is for everybody'') for a job as a junior assistant to an event planner. ''I'm spontaneous and crazy and very unpredictable,'' Ms. Montag said by phone from Los Angeles last week. ''I'm in a different mood every second. I love going out to clubs. This is who I am.'' ...
Did the presence of cameras help Ms. Conrad? ''If I didn't like her, she definitely would not have gotten an internship, regardless of what the cameras wanted,'' Ms. Love said. ''She had to pass the test.'' Ms. Love also came to know Ms. Montag, but did not appear as impressed by what she described as her gregariousness. ''She's bouncy, very energetic,'' she said before dropping the diplomacy. ''Heidi needs a leash.''
Ms. Montag, who plans to channel all that energy into acting classes, hopes her ''Hills'' work will lead to a film career. Ms. Conrad has no such ambitions, though she has received a few offers, despite her admitted lack of talent. ''People who watch the show assume that we're acting, so when I would go in to read for a role, they would always be like, 'Huh, wait a minute,' '' she said with a laugh. ''I can't even read a script. I've tried and it's painful to watch.'' She maintained that ''The Hills,'' like ''Laguna Beach'' before it, is not scripted. Still, fans have dedicated umpteen hours in chat rooms to debating the veracity of ''Laguna,'' and Ms. Conrad is well aware that ''The Hills'' will meet similar scrutiny. Her response would seem to be foolproof: She's no actress. ''Scripts are corny and predictable,'' she said. ''Real life is always better.'' (Which is a total lie, it was totally scripted)

Folks behind the scenes at "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" are going after Spencer Pratt something fierce. A source is saying...
--
Spencer and Heidi Pratt quit the show last Monday, and stayed in hotels for three days.
-- There were no critters in the "lost chamber" (an isolated room Speidi entered for the show), other than the usual bugs in Costa Rica.
-- They were indoors at all times protected from the elements, even though other cast members have been sleeping outside in daily thunderstorms.
-- They were never in any danger and they slept most of the time.
-- No one is being held against their will.
We're told
Spencer is sayin it's all BS ... they were effectively tortured and he's planning on suing NBC.Stay tuned (just the way NBC wants it!).

Heidi Pratt was tortured by NBC to the point she was "convulsively throwing up" -- that's what some people on the set of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" are telling TMZ.
We've learned
Heidi was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a gastric ulcer, after being held with hubby Spencer Pratt in a dark room for a day and a night with only water, rice and beans. It was designed as punishment because they left the show. One cast member described their treatment this way: "It's the same as Guantanamo Bay." And get this ...
a cast member tells us NBC execs tried to convince Heidi to stay on the set rather than take an ambulance to a hospital for treatment. She has now left the hospital and is on meds.
We're told
some of the cast members want to quit, but their passports have been taken away and they are under guard. Paul Telegdy, NBC's Exec VP of Alternative Programming, told Ryan Seacrest about holding Heidi and Spencer in isolation as punishment, adding, "... They are now going to be examined, and their value system utterly deconstructed ... These people really are going to bare their souls."
We're told Spencer has fired his lawyer (who wanted him to stay on the show) and is now planning to sue NBC over the show.
Spencer and Heidi now want out ... for good ... but there's a problem -- they signed a contract with NBC to do the show.
NBC reps did not return our calls ... so far.
Stay tuned ...

In the "We've Been Used" department -- the hateable duo that quit "I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" and then threatened to sue the show is coming back.
Heidi and Spencer are in a first class torture chamber (seats 1A and 1B) right now ... heading back to Costa Rica.
So the whole Al Roker feud, was a giant ruse -- we think.
Looks like they would rather deal with spiders than lose their coveted spot on the C-list.

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt
Heidi and Spencer Pratt have repeatedly quit NBC's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, but Heidi's hospitalization seems to have ended the couple's run on the show for good.
"What we can say at this time is that Heidi went to a hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica Saturday evening because she was not feeling well," a representative for the couple said in a statement Monday. "She has been released from the hospital and is doing well. The couple remains in Costa Rica."
The show required the couple to stay in the "lost chamber" as a condition of their return to the competition after they repeatedly quit. Although the cameras showed Spencer and Heidi fending off various spiders and jumping often after hearing strange noises, they emerged from the chamber the following morning in good spirits.
Much of Monday night's episode featured Heidi and Spencer promoting their spirituality. Spencer spoke of prophetic dreams and claimed he was on a spiritual fast, and Heidi shared her lifelong dreams of becoming a missionary. Spencer even chose not to "Spence out" when Janice Dickinson compared Heidi's singing to a "drowning cat." But the religious talk rubbed some of the contestants the wrong way.
"I'm not going against Christianity, but this became Jesus camp," NBA veteran John Salley told viewers. "I've got Heidi praising the lord, Stephen [Baldwin] praising the lord, and Spencer — who I needed to be the old Spencer — is now born-again Christian."
It was after all this that Heidi began vomiting repeatedly and complaining of violent stomach pain. Spencer took his wife to the on-site medics, who started an IV and transported Heidi to a San Jose hospital. Although Dickinson suggested that the illness was the latest in a string of "calculated" acts, doctors determined that Heidi was suffering from a gastric ulcer or gastritis. The show's producers then informed the rest of the camp that Speidi would no longer participate in the competition.
In another development, Frances Callier — the remaining half of comedy duo Frangela — quit the competition, explaining, "you can't separate Abbot and Costello." Her comedy partner, Angela Shelton, was voted out by the viewers last Thursday.
What do you think of Speidi's departure? Will the jungle be the same?

I'll be disappointed if they leave the show because I'm really looking forward to seeing someone kicking Spencer's a**. Though it will be a relief not to have to hear Heidi "sing" again.

Actually, the doctor said Heidi was probably suffering from a gastric ulcer OR gastritis... which is much less serious. This diagnosis was made, because they couldn't find anything wrong with her, solely on the basis of her saying her stomach hurt. If she had been lying through her teeth ( to get out of the show once their contractual obligation had been met) the diagnosis would have been the same.

Evening.... So for whatever reason my husband wanted to see this show. As of right now im taking a pill for the headache i got whatching tonight show. Here the thing... i may enjoy seening some parts of it but all this talk about church issues. Well it drove me NUts, I believe everybody has a right to have faith. As a personal Choice i dont go to church myself.... as i was thinking about toss my t.v out the door. Due to all the crying and whinning about how sad their life is. Their adults and most of them have more money then most of people whatching them. So i say suck it up and get over it... that one couple from the hills are full of bullsh@@. The are just not real and all this crying and yelling about god and bad spirit 's coming out? It their need to be seen and last i heard.. it you believe 100% in the above faith your humble and carry high morals value. so let keep it fair and leave such subjects to one self, otherwise i can tell you a lot of people who dvr this show will only fast forward the rain of ooh.. why me's and holy information. Who knows all the yelling about such a subject might EVEN offend True Believes who live it everyday with a quiet dedication. Otherwise i think i just make my husband whatch such a show in another room... or hide the remote from him. I see how it goes.

While I've been pretty adamant about my distain for 15 minute celebrities like Speidi, I'm amused by some of the comments that were made about their religious beliefs. Regardless of whether they were faking it, I somehow suspect that viewers and participants wouldn't have been complaining had it been Will Smith's "Scientology camp" or Madonna's "Jewish Mysticism camp," both of whom are very outspoken about their beliefs but I don't see them criticized like the few outspoken Christian actors there are out there.
Just my .02.

Last night's episode was the best one yet. Spencer and Heidi, while obnoxious about religion, weren't boorish a-holes. Sanjaya seems like a really good dude, and is game for just about anything. The celebs are serious about their charities (which each spoke about and NBC finally identified last night) and each claim that when things get hard out in the jungle they just think about the money that they're raising for their charities and it makes it all worth it. Also, the video of what really happened with Heidi proves that all of the hot air coming from them and their people about how they were abused by NBC and it's NBC's fault that Heidi got sick proved that Heidi and Spencer probbaly brought the illness on her by doing a "spiritual fast" and not drinking enough bottled water. The funnies part was that Daniel Baldwin was the voice of reason throughout the episode. When Daniel Baldwin is the voice of reason...you know the other people must be nuts.

I have only caught bits and pieces of this show and only because we have had some crappy weather and need to check on local warnings. Heidi and Spencer are annoying and as for the religion talk, I feel like they are making fun of Chrisitianity. Come on baptized by a Baldwin? WTH is that about? Did anyone hear Heidi say (after vomiting ) she felt cleansed. Ew!

Personally, I think the whole Spiedi drama is staged, poorly executed, and a publicity stunt. Not to mention ridiculous. Additionally, neither of them are very good actors. I am glad they are gone and truly hope that this little stint has somewhat deflated their “celebrity” status. Truth-be-told, apart from their tabloid poses, I really don’t know what they are actually famous for. They are the type of celebs that chases the paparazzi, rather than the other way around.
I can’t believe nobody is talking about Janice! Other than the fact that she is a royal pain – how scary does that woman look without makeup! All I can say is YIKES! She belongs on a public service poster warning people about plastic surgery gone bad.

Jimmy, I have to agree with you. I had the thought that the foliage, dirt, etc. is all staged. They keep showing clips of 'gators/crocs and all, and while I believe those things are there, I don't think the 'celebrities' are anywhere near them. Not buying it for a minute.

I was channel-surfing last night, trying to find something to watch (found a good test pattern on 73. Geez, summer tv is dead!), and watched, PERHAPS, ten seconds of this cr*p. Longest, most painful ten seconds of my life. Losers go home and stay there! Crawl back to the obscurity that you so richly deserve! (Except for Sanjaya - the kid's kind of sweet and perky.)
And yeah, I can't believe a Baldwin was sounding sensible either. What's up with that?

Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag
Hell hath no fury like an NBC executive scorned.
After enduring Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag's back-and-forth shenanigans on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! three times, an NBC exec says the couple's third return to the Costa Rican jungle won't be without consequences.
"They are everything that's wrong with America... they are insincere, lazy, entitled and they claim the devil has possessed them," Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming Paul Telegdy tells Ryan Seacrest. "They are back and this time they are contrite... yeah, right. What they don't realise is that they are now going to be examined and their value system utterly deconstructed. They are going to spend the night somewhere in isolation and guarded with lots of surprises... but not traditional reality [stunts]."
Pratt and Montag saw their Twitter prayers answered Wednesday when NBC brought them back to the Costa Rican jungle to earn their way back onto the show. First, Speidi must sleep with actual spiders and other creepy crawlers in a vermin-infested chamber. Their fellow cast members must also vote them back into camp.
To keep the manufactured suspense going, Speidi's fate (and supposed suffering) was not revealed Thursday and will now be decided Monday.
The series did see a cast change Thursday when Angela V. Shelton — one half of comedy duo Frangela — was the first contestant voted off, downsizing the women's team to four members: Frances Callier, Janice Dickinson, pro wrestler Torrie Wilson and Patti Blagojevich, wife of former Illionois governor Rod Blagojevich.
Patti Blagojevich faces her own drama with the show: The children's cancer charity she chose to compete for, Bear Necessities, has rejected her winnings from the show because her husband was charged with threatening to withhold state money from a children's hospital, NBC Chicago reports.
"Children's [Memorial] is one of our long-time partners," said Bear Necessities spokeswoman Courtney Krupa. "We're just trying to be cautious."

Heidi Pratt on I'm a Celebrity
Heidi Pratt was hospitalized in Costa Rica this weekend for a stomach infection after she and her husband, Spencer, were sent to an isolation chamber as part of the reality competition I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! , according to reports.
After repeatedly vomiting, Heidi was rushed to a local hospital with a gastric ulcer, her sister-in-law, Stephanie Pratt, told E! "She thought she was dying," she said.
Neither NBC nor TVGuide.com's production insider would comment on Heidi's reported hospital stay, but producers denied that she was ever placed in jeopardy on the show.
Heidi checked out of the hospital on Sunday and is now recovering in a hotel in Costa Rica, a source told Access Hollywood.
Heidi and Spencer's isolation experience was videotaped in full and will be detailed during Monday's special two-hour episode — as will the couple's overall fate with the show.
Also to be revealed will be the surprise quitting of a third contestant, according to our production source.
The Pratts were sequestered on Thursday in the "Lost Chamber" after they tried to quit the competition several times during the first week. The couple agreed to the punishment after they pleaded to come back to the show in which celebrities are dropped in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle to test their survivor skills, before viewers get the chance to vote them out.
Spencer's sister, Stephanie, claimed via Twitter that Heidi had been "locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food." She later told E! News that bugs were lowered in through the roof and onto the couple in the pitch black. "They treated them like they were criminals or terrorists," Stephanie Pratt said.
Although the conditions were intended to be uncomfortable, a setside source said the Pratts only spent 14 hours in the chamber, with food and water. They also slept through most of their isolation time, and emerged from the chamber in good spirits.
I'm a Celebrity's production company, ITV Studios, said in a statement that "all allegations of the celebrities being deprived of food and water are completely untrue."
All "press reports at this time are untrue. ITV has been producing this format around the world for many years and the health of the celebrity participants are of the utmost importance," according to the statement. "A medic and a doctor are present at the location at all times for all participants."
Sounds like cast and crew of “I'm a celebrity...Get me out of here!” were waking up and so NBC decided to do damage control.

Heidi and Spencer Pratt are still in Costa Rica -- but not by choice.
Sources tell TMZ the detestable duo wanted to fly out last night, but couldn't get clearance from a doctor to fly. Heidi was diagnosed with a gastric ulcer after she claims she was "tortured" by the producers of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"
The production company behind the show says Speidi's claims are all BS -- and the tape will prove it.
(what's interesting is that their torture claims were met with the same criticism and scrutiny that the journalists who claimed prisoner abuse at abu graib had ; they poke fun at the fact that the conditions of the set were so bad that 3 people wanted to walk away saying it was torture, claim that they were “asleep most of the time”, “weren't exposed to the elements”, and that there “were always doctors present”)
(also good to point out is the fact that the church of scientology does the same thing when people try to separate themselves financially from the “church”:http://virtualreview.org/china/zoom/815922/scientology-prison-camps-punishment-and-torture)
What really happened in costa rica?
