The sun has been in a cooling cycle since August of 2007... the latest word from SOHO is that the cycle is now working toward a warming after almost two years of zero sunspot activity... this means that we should start seeing spots again before this coming winter signaling the visible signs of this warm up...

Anyone who doesn't understand this must be a ree'turd...

If you look at this SOHO photo of the sun taken today, keep in mind that the sun rotates from the left to the right every 10 days or so, and for the last 20 months has been completely storm and spot free... a cool phase called solar minimum... you will notice on the limb of the upper left quadrant, a whitish storm developing over the last day. Then, look very close and you will see a very small sun spot developing in the middle of that same upper left quadrant about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
