Slip-up lays bare US secret nuclear sites: report http://ph.news.yahoo.com/afp/20090603/twl-us-nuclear-military-internet-7e07afd.html
AFP - Thursday, June 4SendIM StoryPrint.
Image otained from the eBay auction website shows a former US ballistic missile facility at Lake Moses, Washington. The New York Time has said that the US government accidentally made public a secret report detailing its nuclear sites, programs and even exact locations of nuclear stockpiles.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - – The US government accidentally made public a secret report detailing its nuclear sites, programs and even exact locations of nuclear stockpiles, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

"The federal government mistakenly made public (the) 266-page report", The Times reported noting that the blunder was revealed Monday in an online newsletter about federal secrecy.

"That set off a debate among nuclear experts about what dangers, if any, the disclosures posed. It also prompted a flurry of investigations in Washington into why the document had been made public," the Times noted, saying that by late Tuesday "after inquiries from The New York Times, the document was withdrawn from a Government Printing Office Web site."

I guess all we can do, in one sense, is anticipate our future and prepare as best we can.

Yes. We must uncover, discover and discard.

This equation will work if executed properly with God's will in mind.

N. Korean boat entered our territorial waters: South
Thu, 04 Jun 2009 14:41:37 GMT

http://www.presstv.com/detail.aspx?id=97035&sectionid=351020405

A North Korean navy patrol boat has allegedly crossed into the South's territorial waters amid growing fears of a military confrontation between the two Koreas.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said Thursday that a boat had crossed the Yellow Sea border which was the scene of bloody clashes in 1999 and 2002.

The boat stayed almost one hour in the South's waters and reportedly retreated to its own side after three warnings from the South Korean side.

This is while the South has deployed high-speed patrol boats armed with missiles near the disputed sea border with the North.

The boat was said to have been chasing Chinese boats that were operating illegally in the rich crab-fishing zone.

However, a South Korean spokesman said Seoul did not rule out the possibility that the act of intrusion had been pre-planned with the aim of further raising tensions in the peninsula.

Last week, Pyongyang staged its second nuclear test and fired a number of short-range missiles, drawing global condemnation and resulting in a UN Security Council debate over the imposition of additional sanctions against the country.

North Korea, however, seems determined to proceed with the test-fires as it has declared a "no-sail" zone off its west coast and has banned ships from entering the area until the end of next month.

South Korean and American troops in the volatile peninsula have been on high alert since May 25 when the North conducted a nuclear test and launched several short-range missiles.

Pyongyang has accused US President Barack Obama of pursuing the same policies of his predecessor.

North Korea has renounced the armistice that ended the Korean War in 1953 and warned that it will launch strikes on the South in the event that its ships are inspected by international forces looking for nuclear material.

Preparing for World War III: August 15, 1871
Written by www.daily.pk
Thursday, 04 June 2009 00:00

http://www.daily.pk/world/middle-east/10322-preparing-for-world-war-iii-august-15-1871.html

The following Glossary, abbreviations and essay will help the reader understand how  Albert Pike Grand Master of the Luciferian group known as the Order of the Palladium wrote a letter dated August 15, 1871 that graphically outlined plans for World War III that was seen as necessary to bring about the One World Order.

“The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion…We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm … Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view.”
[1]

Judaism: Jews collectively who practice a religion based on the Torah and the Talmud.

Zionism: an organization of Jews who believed the Jewish people needed a nation of their own to escape persecution.

RothIsm or Rothschildism: abbreviation for The Zionist movement corrupted and co-opted by The House of Rothschild and their agents to advance a New World Order agenda.

RBZJ: The Rothschild Backed Zionist Jews, acronym used when referring to anyone connected to or related to the House of Rothschild.

RAGENT: Abbreviation for a Rothschild Agent

The House of Rothschild (the Rothschilds): Global financial empire founded in the late 18th century by a dynasty of Khazars, an ancient people from Georgia. [2]

The Rothschilds control a vast portion of the world's wealth and are the hidden hand behind all the social-cataclysms: the French, Russian and American Revolutions; Communism, Capitalism, World Wars and the Modern State of Israel. The Rothschilds are not the Jews of the bible and do not practice Judaism.

Mel Gibson would have been correct if he had claimed, The Rothschilds are responsible for all the wars in the world. The “Labour Leader” newspaper of Britain on December 19, 1891 referred to the Rothschilds when they wrote:

“This blood-sucking crew has been the cause of untold mischief and misery in Europe during the present century, and has piled up its prodigious wealth chiefly through fomenting wars between States which ought never to have quarreled.  Wherever there is trouble in Europe, wherever rumors of war circulate and men’s minds are distraught with fear of change and calamity you may be sure that a hook-nosed Rothschild is at his games somewhere near the region of the disturbance” (ibid, p. 12).

In “Imperialism,” writer J. A. Hobson wrote:  “No Great War could be undertaken by any European State...if the house of Rothschild and its connections set their face against it” (ibid, p, 25).

The “Labour Leader” did not use the term Jew because the Rothschilds are the descendants of Khazars; they are not of Abraham’s Seed.

Rothschild founded and funded the Zionist movement to further a New World Order agenda. At the first Zionist conference Theodor Herzl, a Rothschild agent (Ragent) makes it clear Rothschildism (RothIsm) is not about saving Jews,

“It is essential that the sufferings of Jews….become worse….this will assist in realization of our plans….I have an excellent idea….I shall induce anti-Semites to liquidate Jewish wealth….The anti-Semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews. The anti-Semites shall be our best friends.” [3]

The Jews return to the “Holy Land” in 1947

August 29, 1897 Theodor Herzl, the founder of RothIsm at the First Zionist Congress predicted that within fifty years there would be a Jewish state. UN Resolution (GA 181) partitioned Palestine in 1947.

RothIsm is a political movement to encourage, force if necessary, Jews to move to Palestine. All Jews were encouraged; it didn’t matter if you were of Abraham’s seed, you left for Palestine or else.

Herzl picking 1947 as the end of the Diaspora and the return of the Jews to the “Holy Land” is either one of those “bizarre coincidences”, like the same person winning the lottery three weeks in a row, or the partition of Palestine, finalized in 1947, was part of Rothschilds plan for a New World Order, “to effect complete and total control over every human being on the planet and to dramatically reduce the world's population by two thirds.”

Rothschild’s secret societies, The Bavarian Illuminati, Order of Perfectibilists, the Skull and Bones are no longer classified as prehistoric science fiction and have their origins in the ancient religions and the occult: Jesuits, Knights Templar, Rosicrucians, Freemasons and the Kabbalah.

In 2003, 60 Minutes aired a segment about Alexandra Robbins, staff member at the New Yorker. Robbins, a Yale graduate, penetrated the wall of silence around the Skull and Bones, the American branch of Rothschild’s secret society and authored the best seller Secrets of the Tomb: Skull and Bones, the Ivy League, and the Hidden Paths of Power.

Members of the Skull and Bones include some of the most powerful men of the 20th century.

J.P. Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, Abraham Kuhn and Solomon Loeb are all connected to the Rothschilds Global financial empire and secret societies. They are members of the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, France, and Germany or, for that matter, any central bank anywhere in the world.

RothIsm was not-so-secretly funded when Baron Edmond (Binyamin) de Rothschild purchased 90,000 acres in Palestine launching Israel’s future initially as an agricultural society.  After the early settlers arrived, they wanted Rothschild to “take his hands from it.” Baron Edmond responded,  “I created the Yishuv, I alone. Therefore no men, neither colonists nor organisations have the right to interfere in my plans”

Lord Moyne, the British Secretary of State in Cairo, in 1942 tried to interfere in Baron Edmond’s plan when he declared  “the Jews were not the descendants of the ancient Hebrews and that they had no "legitimate claim" on the Holy Land. In favor of limiting Jewish immigration into Palestine, he was accused of being "an implacable enemy of Hebrew independence," and on November 6, 1944 Lord Moyne was murdered by two members of the Stern Gang (Yitzhak Shamir's group). [4]

A Jewish State, a sacrilege, can be found in the Bible

A Jewish state can be found in the book of Revelation. John, an Apostle of Jesus on the Isle of Patmos in 90 A.D., was told to “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.” John wrote:

“And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months (1279 days). And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in Sackcloth.” Revelation 11:2&3

Herzl correctly predicted the 1947 UN partition but John, in the spirit, was taken up into heaven and saw holy city would be underfoot for forty-two months given over to non-Jewish people until 1967 (688 A.D. + 1279 years), when in the first hours of the Six-day war Jews took control of East Jerusalem and the prophesy in Sackcloth ended when they had their own state on May 14th 1948 (688 A.D. + 1260 years). [5] that the

Grand Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum, believed RothIsm is "the work of Satan, a sacrilege, a blasphemy” and The Holocaust, he wept, “was a direct result of RothIsm, a punishment from G-d.”

Rothschild was well aware of Jewish history and Jews, according to the Christian New Testament, persecuted and crucified Jesus Christ and most of his early followers. America's traditional churches in the 19th Century would never stand for a Jewish occupation of Jesus' homeland.

Rothschild Backed Zionist Jews (RBZJ) and a con artist Cyrus Scofield were used to change America and its religious orientation by the use of the Scofield Reference Bible from Oxford University Press.

Scofield, after being released from prison was introduced to Samuel Untermeyer, the President of the Koren Hayesod, and the RothIsm movement in America.

Untermeyer, an attorney, was instrumental in preparing the Federal Reserve Banking law in 1910, and the financing of Scofield’s Reference bible.

The Scofield bible has hundreds of easy-to-read footnotes in the margins and at the bottom of the pages that misleadingly weave parts of the Old and New Testaments together as though the same people wrote them at the same time. The most convincing evidence of RothIsm influence on Scofield are the notes themselves, below are examples taken from the revised 1967 Edition:

“For a nation to commit the sin of anti-semitism brings inevitable judgment.”

“God made an unconditional promise of blessings through Abram's seed to the nation of Israel to inherit a specific territory forever.”

In fact there is no sin of anti-semitism in the bible and Abraham did not bequeath a “specific territory” to his descendants.

Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell weave Scofield’s “Jews” into Genesis 12:3, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” and falsely conclude:

“God has blessed America because America has blessed the Jew. If this nation wants her fields to remain white with grain, her scientific achievements to remain notable, and her freedom to remain intact, America must continue to stand with Israel.”

John McArthur, author, pastor at Grace Community Mega-Church came up with a “Just War” explanation for the Iraq War because of Scofields “specific territory” note. On CNN he told Larry King, “Iraq is ‘a just war’ because Iraq has not only rejected the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but has done everything it can possibly do to stamp out the people of God, namely Israel.”

Robertson, Falwell and McArthur because of Scofield, ignore the central tenets of Christianity:  Seeking peace and loving one's enemies, Peace be with you, that the meek and those who work for peace -- rather than the powerful and violent -- are blessed by God.

“Then he will say to those on his left (Robertson et all), 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' "They will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'” MT 25:41

Pre-millennialism, Dispensationalism, Judeo-Christianity and "Christian Zionism" all rely on the Scofield footnote “A Curse Laid Upon Those Who Persecute The Jews” to justify the Iraq war and Israel’s human rights violations in Gaza and the West Bank. [6]

It is impossible to overstate the influence of Cyrus Scofield and the Oxford Press on twentieth-century Christian and Jewish sectarian beliefs. With limitless advertising and promotion, the Scofield Bible became the most important instrument for spreading the message of Christian Zionism: that the Modern State of Israel is the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

Uganda is not Jerusalem

In 1903, Joseph Chamberlain, the British Colonial Secretary, brought the "Uganda Project", a Jewish settlement in East Africa, to Theodore Herzl. Herzl initially rejected the idea but the April 1903 Kishinev pogrom, the Medieval Outbreak where 49 Russian Jews were killed, 92 severely wounded, 500 slightly wounded changed his mind and he recommended the controversial solution as a temporary measure.

Herzl did not live to see the rejection of the Uganda Plan in 1905. He, and further discussion of a homeland other than Palestine, died unexpectedly when Herzl was 44.

David Wolfson succeeded Herzl but he failed to convince the Young Turks to give up Palestine after the Ottoman Empire collapsed. Dr. Otto Warburg (related to Paul and Max, Rothschild’s agents) was put in charge and the movement was moved to Berlin.

WWII is over but not for the Palestinians

The war ended in 1945 and after the bitterest episode in Jewish history the refugees were moved from Concentration to Displaced Persons camps until the world was willing to give the Holocaust survivors the Palestinian’s Land.

As the United Nations debated a resolution to divide the Palestinian land, the UN- appointed mediator Count Folke Bernadotte thought the resolution offended

“Basic principles to prevent these innocent victims of the conflict [Palestinians were not to blame for the Holocaust] from returning to their homes, while Jewish immigrants flood into Palestine and, what's more, threatening to permanently replace the dispossessed Arab refugees who have been here for centuries.” He described, "Zionist pillage on a grand scale and the destruction of [Palestinian] villages without apparent military need.”

His report (U.N. Document A. 648) was filed on September 16, 1948.  The next day Count Bernadotte and his assistant were assassinated in the part of Jerusalem occupied by the Zionists. [7]

Finally the British navy attacked the 4,500 Holocaust survivors (“Exodus 1947”) on their way to Palestine and a Rothschild Homeland was a fait accomplis.

On May 14, 1948, the British Mandate over Palestine expired and Rothschild had established the Jewish State, located in the only place in the world that could have a clash of civilizations, Jerusalem.

The Jews return to the “Holy Land” portends Armageddon.

Armageddon, the final battle, will come when someone blows up the Dome of the Rock. That magnificent golden domed mosque built on the site of Solomon’s Temple (the abomination of desolation) is preventing the return of the messiah. Radical Christians and Jews believe Christ will not come back to earth until the Jews rebuild the Temple.

Should the Dome be demolished, then for the first time in history, thanks to Sadaam Hussein when he destroyed 90 percent of Iraq’s Wetlands, 200 million people could cross the Euphrates for a holy war in Jerusalem. [8]

A war that will rid the planet of millions of useless eaters.

The Rothschild New World Order only needs 500 million of us for slaves. Written by Robert Singer

1871??? If anybody could validate that document, which points to monumental changes in what is now history, and predicts them accurately, then that would be the smoking gun. But validating it; there's your problem.

Those of you who are Jews: Do you believe in Satan, as Christians do, the "root of all evil," or is the figure of your Satan, Helel, more a tester angel of God, but still very much His servant? This could verify the claimed quote of the Rabbi in the document.

Written by Robert Singer

sorry to point this out as you undoubtedly are one of the premier posters on this forum who researches prior to posting.  But I have also been swayed by this seemingly validated Albert Pike stuff.  Then I found a similar one that mentioned southeast asia as the spot for WWIII and realized that this seems to be some tried and true disinfo tactic by fabians against fascists (NWO on NWO crime).  If you read it carefully it all falls together as Albert Pike was a total fricking satanic sleezebucket, but he was not that in control of things.  We do know that the NWO has had to change their plans often and that billions have been spent for over 100 years to create these prophecy/predictive things using Pike/Nostradamous/etc. as a way to somehow validate a position (both the Nazis and British Intelligence dedicated great resources at this.

Because of these factors I believe the letter is a fraud (also because there has been zero validation of it).  But it is interesting that it was published in daily.pk

In any case, I do believe that the letter sheds light on certain things but it also gives off some kind of mystique that things go precisely according to plan when nothing could be farther from the truth.

U.S. Analyst Says North Korea's New West Coast Missile Base Is Ready
Thursday, June 04, 2009

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,525156,00.html

WASHINGTON —  Fresh commercial satellite images show that North Korea's sophisticated new missile base on its west coast — designed for multiple test flights in a short time — is ready for use, according to an independent U.S. analyst.

Photographic images show the launch tower and what appears to be construction materials on the launch pad, Tim Brown, a senior fellow with GlobalSecurity.org, said Thursday. He speculated that the debris may be there to make the pad appear as though it is still under construction.

"The launch pad appears to be operational," Brown said.

The satellite company DigitalGlobe produced the images Wednesday.

North Korea has been quietly building the new facility, which is capable of launching ICBMs, for nearly a decade. It represents a major step forward for its long-range missile program because the facility would allow multiple test flights in a short time, which is difficult at the smaller long-range missile launch site known as Musudan-ni on its east coast.

North Korea conducted an underground nuclear test on May 25. In March it launched a long-range missile that it claimed delivered a satellite into orbit.

The new launch facility is referred to as Tongchang-ri. It includes a movable launch pad and a 10-story tower capable of supporting North Korea's largest ballistic missiles and rockets. It also has a rocket motor test pad.

Japan readies missile defence amid N.Korea reports
Fri Jun 5, 2009 5:09pm IST

http://in.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idINIndia-40113420090605

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's air force is prepared to deploy its ground-based missile interceptors if the defence minister gives an order, its chief said on Friday, amid reports North Korea may test-launch a long-range missile in weeks.

Pyongyang fired a long-range rocket over Japan in April, saying it was putting a satellite in orbit, but which was widely viewed as a long-range missile test. Last week, the North tested a nuclear device and test-fired several short-range missiles, further raising tensions in the region.

Asked whether Japan is preparing to deploy its ground-based Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) interceptors, a defence ministry spokesman quoted air force chief Kenichiro Hokazono as telling a news conference that it is still gathering information on North Korea's moves.

"As was the case last time, the air self defence force is getting ready to swiftly deploy when the minister gives a deployment order," Hokazono added.

Tokyo deployed interceptors ahead of North Korea's long-range rocket launch in April, whose planned trajectory showed that it would go over Japan. It ended up not launching any interceptors.

U.S. and South Korean reports have said the North has shown indications of shipping an intercontinental ballistic missile -- theoretically capable of reaching Alaska and Hawaii and military targets in Guam -- toward a test site on its east coast.

Hokazono said the air force plans to deploy within three hours after the minister's order, the spokesman said.

Japan, which has two destroyers equipped with Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) interceptors and six ground-based PAC-3 interceptors, is forbidden by its pacifist constitution to intercept a missile if it is clearly heading elsewhere.

But the defence minister can order the military to destroy any debris that poses a threat to Japan.

Besides a possible long-range missile test, North Korea is preparing to fire a mid-range missile, capable of hitting most of Japan, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported earlier this week.

NKorea bans ships from coastal waters

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5g5bCbd3G8qFoX7H4TvQbUWvBQ08QD98M8P680

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea has warned fishermen and boat captains to stay away from the country's east coast, Japan's coast guard said Monday, in another sign that the regime is planning to fire medium-range missiles in that area as expected.

But it does not appear ready to test-fire an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the U.S. from a newly built site despite recent news reports that such a launch may be imminent, South Korean media said.

The medium-range missiles, which put Japan in striking range, are expected to be fired from the coastal town of Anbyon as part of a series of provocative moves following North Korea's May 25 nuclear test and a flurry of short-range missile launches.

On Monday, Japan's coast guard said it picked up a North Korean radio signal banning ships from waters off the North's coastal city of Wonsan near Anbyon from June 10-30.

Seoul's mass-circulation JoongAng Ilbo newspaper also said Monday that there have been brisk movements of up to six vehicles mounted with mobile missile launchers at Anbyon over the past week.

The paper and other reports have said that the North could fire Rodong missiles with a range of about 800 miles (1,300 kilometers) or a newly deployed missile that can travel as far as 1,860 miles (3,000 kilometers). Both types of missiles have Japan within striking range.

The paper cited unnamed South Korean government and intelligence officials.

Over on the North's west coast near China, the reclusive regime is said to be assembling an intercontinental ballistic missile.

JoongAng Ilbo said there have been constant movements of personnel and vehicles at the western site, but a missile-tracking radar system has not been installed there yet, indicating a launch is not imminent.

Earlier South Korean media reports had speculated that a launch could come next week — around June 16 when the presidents of South Korea and the United States are scheduled to hold a summit in Washington.

The timing is being closely watched for signs of further belligerence from North Korea amid fears it could provoke an armed confrontation with South Korea.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Washington is considering adding North Korea back to a list of state sponsors of terrorism. The previous administration of President George W. Bush removed Pyongyang from the list last year in exchange for the North's nuclear disarmament pledge.

Clinton was asked on ABC television's "This Week" about a letter that some senators wrote Obama about returning North Korea to that list.

"We're going to look at it. There's a process for it," Clinton said in the interview, taped Thursday in Egypt. "Obviously we would want to see recent evidence of their support for international terrorism."

The JoongAng Ilbo also reported that luxury cars have been spotted moving in and out of North Korea's long-range missile site.

Last week, Tim Brown, a senior fellow with GlobalSecurity.org, said new commercial satellite images have shown that the North's launch site was ready for use after nearly a decade of construction.

Associated Press Writer Shino Yuasa in Tokyo contributed to this report.

N Korea to use nuclear weapons as 'merciless offensive means'

Published: June 09, 2009, 09:02

http://www.gulfnews.com/world/Korea/10321179.html

Seoul: North Korea says it could use nuclear weapons as an "offensive means" in a new salvo of bellicose rhetoric against critics.

Pyongyang's state-run Minju Joson newspaper said Tuesday its atomic weapons will not be a means of self-defense only.

It says the weapons will also be used as a "merciless offensive means to deal a just retaliatory strike to those who touch the country's dignity and sovereignty even a bit."

The tough talk came as the UN Security Council is seeking to punish the communist regime for its May 25 nuclear test.

The North's main Rodong Sinmun newspaper said on Monday that it will consider any sanctions a declaration of war and will respond to it with "due corresponding self-defense measures."

North Korea Using Power to Extend KPA Power

By Chris Green
[2009-06-09 16:06 ]

In keeping with the Military-First policy of the Kim Jong Il regime and recent efforts to reinforce the system in advance of the succession which will follow the Dear Leader’s death, the Korean People’s Army (KPA) has apparently been given control of both coal exports and one of the biggest electricity generation facilities.

According to the latest NK Brief released by the Institute for Far Eastern Studies at Kyungnam University, the official authority to export coal was recently transferred from a trading company under the authority of the Cabinet to one controlled by the KPA.

Coal exports are worth around US$200 million per year to the North Korean economy, which exports 2 to 3 million tons of coal annually.

A source reported that a recent deal to provide China with 60,000 tons of coal was not paid for with money, but was completed upon receipt of corn with a value of US$1 million. The NK Brief source pointed out that it was “exceptional that as North Korea suffers from foreign capital shortages, it demands payment not in cash, but in corn…it looks like it is a measure for military use.”

The Brief also reported that the Bukchang Thermoelectric Power Plant, North Korea’s biggest such facility, has also been transferred away from the Cabinet, which controls the official economy, into the hands of the military, which runs a parallel military-industrial economy.

There is a third economy, that which directly funds the regime of Kim Jong Il.

Analysts perceive both moves as being representative of increasing military control over the official economy, and logical in the context of the Military-First political theory.

Could the U.S. Be Drawn into a New Korean War?
By MARK THOMPSON / WASHINGTON Mark Thompson / Washington 43 mins ago

To fear a new Korean War is historically inaccurate, because, in fact, the last one never ended: the world's most dangerous border, across which some 2 million North Korean, U.S. and South Korean troops face each other along the 38th parallel of the Korean Peninsula is, in fact, simply an armistice line. On July 27, 1953, the U.S. and North Korea signed a truce pausing, but not ending, a war that claimed more than 2 million lives, including those of 36,940 U.S. troops. And the North's recent nuclear and missile saber-rattling has many growing nervous about the potential for a resumption of hostilities.

North Korea, in fact, announced on May 27 that it was withdrawing from the armistice. It declared it could no longer guarantee the safety of ships sailing through the Yellow Sea off its western coast, and would no longer respect the legal status of several islands off South Korea's coast. It also vowed to attack South Korea if North Korean vessels suspected of smuggling nuclear and missile components are stopped and searched by a U.S.-led U.N. naval armada - a proposal currently under discussion. (See pictures of North Koreans at the polls.)

U.S. officials are concerned that political instability inside the Pyongyang regime may raise the danger of confrontation. "Dear Leader" Kim Jong Il has been weakened by a stroke suffered late last year, his 26-year old heir apparent is not yet ready to take the reins and the North Korean military is eager to maintain its preeminence in the coming political succession. "Any time you have a combination of this behavior of doing provocative things in order to excite a response - plus succession questions - you have a potentially dangerous mixture," said U.S. Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair on Monday.

Despite the rising tensions, however, a number of factors militate against a new chapter being opened in the Korean War. South Korea, backed by the U.S., doesn't want war, because the North has some 13,000 artillery tubes aimed at Seoul and the more than 10 million South Koreans living within 30 miles of the DMZ. North Korea, backed by China, doesn't want war because if it comes, it all but guarantees the collapse of Kim's regime, which is also the family business. (See pictures of the rise of Kim Jong Il.)

Washington has made clear that it wants to solve this latest flare-up via diplomatic channels. "Our focus is now - and has been and likely will continue to be - on coming up with diplomatic and economic pressures that will persuade the North to abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons and the platforms to deliver them," Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said June 8. And if that fails? "We all need to be prudent about our planning for defensive measures." That suggests neither Washington nor Seoul is going to take preemptive military action.

The immediate priority of the U.S. and its allies is to prevent North Korea from spreading its nuclear know-how around the world. And their own lever is China's influence over the hermit regime. "There's a view that if you want to get the Chinese to act on North Korea, you need to signal a willingness to take military action," Scott Snyder, a Korea expert with the Council on Foreign Relations, said last week. "But at the same time, how do you do that - especially in conjunction with allies - without the Chinese feeling that you're trying to manipulate them tactically?"

China's role will be key, according to Larry Wortzel, who served two tours as a U.S. Army military attachÉ in Beijing. "China will not let North Korea collapse," he was told by several top People's Liberation Army officials during the Clinton Administration, according to his account in the latest issue of the U.S. Army journal Parameters. Beijing will help Pyongyang survive any sanctions. "There are limits to what the United States and its allies can do," he warns, "unless they want a complete break with, or to invite conflict with, China." China's motives are twofold: keep North Korean refugees from flooding across the border, as well as keep a U.S. ally from emerging on China's doorstep.

If it came to war, however, a key goal of any large North Korean attack would be to launch as many shells and rockets toward Seoul from its artillery tubes and launchers, many self-propelled or on railcars. The goal of U.S. and South Korean forces would be to destroy that artillery capability before too many rounds could be launched. While North Korea would build any attack around its 1.2 million–strong army, the U.S. and South Korea would rely more on their air and naval forces.

The Pentagon has largely refrained from saber-rattling, and is not planning to reinforce the 28,000 U.S. troops now in South Korea, or the 35,000 stationed in Japan. When pressed, U.S. military leaders concede that even their defensive plans will be tougher to implement given the fact that they currently have roughly 175,000 troops deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. "There would have to be a level of ad hoc conglomeration of forces," General James Conway, the Marine commandant, told a Senate panel June 2. "But in the end, I am convinced we would prevail."

Envoy: N. Korea claims on U.S. aggression 'groundless'

    * Story Highlights
    * Envoy Stephen Bosworth says U.S. has no intention to force N.K. regime change
    * He says possible ways to deal with N. Korea include 'extended deterrence'
    * The North has recently conducted a nuclear test, fired test rockets
    * Washington wants the North to return to six-state nuclear talks

NEW YORK (CNN) -- The United States will consider expanding its options in dealing with North Korea amid rising tensions, said President Barack Obama's envoy to the secretive communist state.

But U.S. special envoy Stephen Bosworth said accusations by Pyongyang that its nuclear and missile tests were in response to American aggression were "simply groundless."

"Quite to the contrary, we have no intention to invade North Korea or to change its regime through force and we have made this clear ... repeatedly," Bosworth said during a speech to the Korean Society in New York on Tuesday night.

North Korea has recently conducted a nuclear test, fired test rockets, and threatened U.S. and South Korean ships near its territorial waters.

"North Korea's recent actions to develop a nuclear capacity and an intercontinental ballistic missile capacity will require that we expand our consideration of possible responses, including our force posture and options for extended deterrence," Bosworth said.

"However, the North Korean claim to be responding to a threat or a hostile policy by the United States is simply groundless."

Washington has said it wants the North to return to nuclear negotiations with the United States, China, South Korea, Japan and Russia, known as the "six-party talks," Robert Wood, a deputy State Department spokesman told reporters this month.

Although the talks have been stalled for more than a year, Wood said, "just because things haven't worked doesn't mean you don't keep trying."

North Korea Defiance Risks Tough Response, U.S. Says

By Indira A.R. Lakshmanan

June 12 (Bloomberg) -- The North Korean regime risks a tougher U.S. response should it press ahead with trying to become a nuclear weapons state, an American special envoy said, amid reports the nation plans to test a third atomic bomb.

Ambassador Stephen Bosworth said yesterday the U.S. isn’t “threatening to change the North Korean regime by force,” and urged the government in Pyongyang to respond to diplomacy. Yet he said the U.S. won’t accept a North Korea with nuclear bombs.

Kim Jong Il’s regime may be preparing a nuclear test as the United Nations Security Council considers new sanctions on the country, Fox News and the Associated Press reported today, citing unidentified officials.

U.S. National Security Council spokesman Mike Hammer, while declining to comment on the reports, said officials “have come to expect North Korea to act recklessly and dangerously.”

Last month’s suspected nuclear-bomb test by Kim’s regime, followed by missile firings, prompted international condemnation and a push for more sanctions at the UN Security Council.

China and Russia have agreed to back a U.S.-supported draft UN resolution that would call for financial curbs on North Korea and inspections of cargoes that might be intended to support nuclear or ballistic-missile work. The Security Council plans to vote on the resolution this week in New York.

‘Path of Diplomacy’

The U.S. will “do what is necessary” to defend its national security and that of its allies in Asia, Bosworth told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He didn’t specify what those measures might include. “In the interests of all concerned, we very much hope that North Korea will choose the path of diplomacy rather than confrontation,” he added.

“We found China very concerned, acutely concerned, about what North Korea is doing,” both with the nuclear test and with regard to missile technology, Bosworth said.

U.S. intelligence has learned that North Korea is planning to test a third nuclear bomb in response to the passage of the UN resolution, Fox News reported, citing unidentified officials. The first detonation took place in 2006.

North Korea also plans to start reprocessing all of its spent plutonium fuel rods into weapons-grade plutonium and test a Taepodong-2 intercontinental ballistic missile at about the same time, Fox said.

U.S. Journalists

At the hearing, Bosworth said the U.S. is satisfied that China is working to rein in North Korea’s behavior. Bosworth, who also serves as dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, said he is “deeply concerned” about two U.S. journalists being held in North Korea.

Television reporters Euna Lee and Laura Ling were sentenced this week to 12 years of hard labor for allegedly crossing into North Korea illegally. Bosworth said the U.S. wants the regime to “promptly and unconditionally” release the women.

Victor Cha, the former head of Asian affairs on President George W. Bush’s National Security Council, told the panel that Chinese officials can pressure their North Korean counterparts behind the scenes to return to nuclear talks. Such contacts won’t be made public because “the Chinese never want to be seen as kowtowing to the United States,” he said.

Bosworth said the U.S. is considering targeting North Korean financial deposits held in other countries as part of the effort to compel the regime to change its behavior.

Macau Bank

A U.S. effort under Bush to punish a Macau bank suspected of laundering money for North Korea created a ripple effect with financial institutions around the world and hurt the regime’s ability to move its money, Cha said.

How the U.S. deals with North Korea at this point “will particularly have an impact on our ongoing nonproliferation efforts with respect to Iran and any other would-be nuclear power,” the committee’s chairman, Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, said at the hearing.

Central Intelligence Agency Director Leon Panetta alluded to the linkage in remarks to reporters in Washington yesterday. “The approach that we take toward nuclear development in North Korea will send a very important signal to Iran,” he said, adding that “all options are on the table.”

North Korea’s nuclear test and missile launches are part of leader Kim’s plans to hand over power to his son, South Korean Defense Minister Lee Sang Hee said this week. Bosworth said that as far as the U.S. knows, Kim hasn’t formally designated a successor.

Weakening Economy

The regime manages a weakening economy even as it builds up its military capabilities. North Korea’s industrial output is a fraction of what it was two decades ago and its farming capacity isn’t sufficient to feed its population, Bosworth said.

To guard U.S. territory from a possible North Korean missile strike, the Defense Department is developing a missile- defense site in Alaska. Interceptor rockets in underground silos there would be launched against an incoming missile.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates, touring the base last week, said he has “good confidence” the system is capable of repelling an attack from North Korea should the reclusive regime threaten American territory.

For longer-term stability on the Korean Peninsula, the Obama administration believes that the 1953 armistice that ended the Korean War should be replaced with a permanent peace treaty, Bosworth said yesterday.

Bosworth said “it is time to begin talking seriously” about such a treaty. “It is alarming and lamentable” that a state of war still exists on the peninsula, he said.

UN imposes tough new sanctions on NKorea

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hpAX_KdVaUjpw3I0gU_pfGmCr-mQD98P7UFG0

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council has approved tough new sanctions against North Korea for its recent nuclear test.

The resolution imposes new sanctions on the reclusive communist nation's weapons exports and financial dealings, and allows inspections of suspect cargo in ports and on the high seas.

U.S. deputy ambassador Rosemary DiCarlo said Friday's vote was a strong and united international response to North Korea's unacceptable behavior.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council is expected to approve tough new sanctions against North Korea on Friday, U.N. diplomats said.

The draft resolution, which would impose new sanctions on the reclusive communist nation's weapons exports and financial dealings, and allow inspections of suspect cargo in ports and on the high seas, was put in a final form late Thursday.

The council scheduled a meeting on Friday to vote on it.

The draft was hammered out during two weeks of closed-door negotiations by ambassadors from the five permanent Security Council nations — the United States, Britain and France and North Korea's allies, China and Russia — as well as the two countries most closely affected by the test, Japan and South Korea.

It was given to the nine Security Council countries that were not part of the negotiations on Wednesday, and experts from all 15 council nations met Thursday to go over the text.

With the five veto-wielding permanent members already on board, the resolution is certain to be adopted, most likely unanimously with a few minor changes to the text.

World Braced For North Korea's UN Reaction

3:32am UK, Saturday June 13, 2009

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/North-Korea-Nuclear-Threat-Rogue-State-Posed-To-Respond-To-New-Raft-Of-UN-Sanctions/Article/200906215303325?lpos=World_News_First_Home_Page_Feature_Teaser_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_15303325_North_Korea_Nuclear_Threat%3A_Rogue_State_Posed_To_Respond_To_New_Raft_Of_UN_Sanctions

Kim Jong Il's embattled regime is expected to deliver a tough, belligerent response to Friday's imposition of a raft of new UN sanctions.

North Korea is expected to launch another long-range test missile over the next 48 hours according to US intelligence, as the region is on a heightened state of alert.

Pyongyang is also planning another underground nuclear test according to leaked briefings given to President Obama, US reports say.

But former UN Ambassador John Bolton has said strongly worded rhetoric from North Korea or a missile launch is more likely that a third nuclear test.

On Monday, North Korea said it would respond to any new UN sanctions with "corresponding self-defence measures".

The North added it would use nuclear weapons in a "merciless offensive" if provoked.

The new sanctions, which were passed unanimously, toughen an already existing arms embargo and authorise ship searches on the high seas to combat the sale of ballistic missiles.

It is believed Pyongyang earns more than £900m ($1.5bn) in missile sales to countries such as Syria, Pakistan and Iran.

North Korea has said it will view any sanctions as a declaration of war and boycotted yesterday's vote in the United Nations.

Unusually, the sanctions were backed by China and Russia - the North's closest allies - an indication of the depth of international disapproval of recent actions by the rogue communist state.

Last month it thumbed its nose at the Security Council when detonating a second underground nuclear weapon and testing a flurry of short range missiles.

China's UN Ambassador Zhang Yesui said the resolution demonstrates the international community's "firm opposition" to the nuclear test.

Zhang said the resolution also sends a "positive signal" by showing the Council's determination to resolve the issue "peacefully through dialogue and negotiations".

North Korea pledges to 'weaponise' all plutonium

North Korea pledged on Saturday to embark on a uranium enrichment programme and "weaponise" all the plutonium in its possession as it rejected the new UN sanctions meant to punish the communist nation for its recent nuclear test.

Published: 8:41AM BST 13 Jun 2009

North Korea also said it would not abandon its nuclear programmes, saying it was an inevitable decision to defend itself from what it says is a hostile US policy and its nuclear threat against the North.

The North will take "resolute military action" if the United States or its allies try to impose any "blockade" on it, the ministry said in a statement carried by the North's official Korean Central News Agency.

The ministry did not elaborate if the blockade refers to an attempt to stop its ships or impose sanctions.

North Korea describes its nuclear program as a deterrent against possible US attacks. Washington says it has no intention of attacking and has expressed fear that North Korea is trying to sell its nuclear technology to other nations.

The statement came hours after the UN Security Council approved tough new sanctions on North Korea to punish it for its latest nuclear test on May 25.

The UN resolution imposes new sanctions on the reclusive communist nation's weapons exports and financial dealings, and allows inspections of suspect cargo in ports and on the high seas.

The South Korean government said it "welcomes and supports the unanimous adoption of the resolution."

A Foreign Ministry statement said it showed the council's unequivocal intention to stop the North's nuclear program and its proliferation.

Over the past several decades, the DPRK has made every possible effort for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, but the U.S., instead of seeking a substantial removal of nuclear threats, has steadily increased the level of pressure upon the DPRK and it has eventually brought even the six-party talks to collapse in wanton violation of the principles of respect for the sovereignty and sovereign equality, the underlying spirits of the September 19 Joint Statement, over the DPRK's launch of satellite, the universally recognized right of each state, the statement noted, and said:

At present, some countries were shocked at the news of the DPRK's second nuclear test. But an exceptional act has its exceptional reason.

The recent nuclear test conducted by the DPRK is the 2054th one on the earth.

The five permanent members of the UNSC have conducted 99.99 percent of all the nuclear tests.

Those countries have posed the biggest nuclear threats to the world. But they took issue with our first nuclear test, which was conducted in October 2006 as a self-defensive measure to cope with increased nuclear threats by the U.S., terming it a "threat to the international peace" and adopted the sanctions resolution against the DPRK. This is exactly the UNSC Resolution 1718.

This resolution fabricated by the hypocrites has immediately invited a total rejection by the DPRK and we still do not recognize such resolution.

The UNSC with such a record produced the "presidential statement" on April 14 putting in question only the satellite launched by the DPRK for the peaceful purpose and put into force the sanctions under its Resolution 1718 on April 24 only to cause an unbearable insult to the dignity of our people and gravely infringe upon the sovereignty of the DPRK.

The DPRK is neither a signatory to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty nor to the Missile Technology Control Regime or MTCR. Such being the case, it has a right to conduct as many nuclear tests or missile launches as it wants in the event that the supreme interests of the state are infringed upon. Such self-defensive measures do not run counter to any other international law.

The UNSC has committed such unprecedented crime as the wanton infringement upon the right of a sovereign state to explore outer space for peaceful purposes and, instead of repenting of it, it is proactive in its outcry to cover up its crime. Under these circumstances, the DPRK, at this point, would like to draw a clear line of confrontation which will help clearly state who is to blame for the future unpredictable development of the situation.

First, the UNSC is involved in its high-handed act which will never be tolerated and it is the part of the self-defensive measures of the DPRK to respond to this with its own nuclear test which we had already made public to the world. There is a limit to our patience.

It is none other than the U.S. and other forces courting the U.S. favor who should be held entirely responsible for driving the situation to such a pass as they took the DPRK's peaceful satellite launch to the UN to launch a condemnation campaign.

It is what they said to the DPRK that a satellite launch belongs to an independent right of a sovereign state. But, after our actual satellite launch, they took sides with the U.S. in its move to condemn the DPRK.

Those countries remained silent when the large scale nuclear war exercises such as Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises took place in the depth of the Korean peninsula. But, When the DPRK was compelled to conduct a nuclear test as a self-defensive measure, they are united in their voice, condemning it as "a threat to the regional peace and stability".

It means that they do not like the DPRK to possess what they had already put in place. In the final analysis, they mean small countries should obey big countries. The DPRK, though small in its territory and population, has self-confidence and grit that it is a politically and militarily strong country.

Second, we solemnly demanded that the UNSC make an apology for its crime of having seriously encroached upon the sovereignty of a sovereign state in gross violation of the Space Treaty and that it withdraw all its previously-crafted, unfair resolutions and decisions. Such a demand still remains in force.

As long as the Permanent Five alone invested with veto power and nuclear weapons have the mandate to identify what constitutes a "threat to international peace and security", the UNSC is not supposed to bring their own acts of intimidation into question indefinitely.

As long as the UNSC fails to respond to the DPRK's just demand, the DPRK will not recognize any resolution and decision of the UNSC in the future, too.

Third, if the UNSC will make further provocative actions, this will inevitably lead to the DPRK's approach towards adopting stronger self-defensive counter-measures.

The end of the Cold War worldwide works only between big powers, but a Cold War still persists on the Korean Peninsula.

The UNSC-crafted UN Command itself is a signatory to the Korean Armistice Agreement.

Any hostile act by the UNSC immediately means the abrogation of the Armistice Agreement.

The world will soon find out how the army and people of the DPRK will stand up against the high-handed and get-it-alone approach of the UNSC in defending its dignity and sovereignty.

The U.S. is keen on using a catchphrase "Carrot and stick."

It would be better for the "Donkey" of the U.S. Democratic Party to lick the carrot.

N Korea readies missile launch: report
June 16, 2009 - 1:28PM

http://news.brisbanetimes.com.au/breaking-news-world/n-korea-readies-missile-launch-report-20090616-cfdj.html

North Korea has finished preparatory work at a new launch pad for long-range missiles on its northwest coast, a report says.

Chosun Ilbo newspaper on Tuesday quoted a government source as saying the launch structure has been installed and a hangar has been completed at the Dongchang-ri launch site.

"Large girders have recently been installed and the two or three months of preparatory work at the launch pad have been completed," the source told the daily.

"However, no radar has yet been set up and no missile has been brought to the launch pad. A launch is not imminent."

The paper said satellite photos showed the structure to be about 50 metres high, meaning it would be capable of firing an intercontinental ballistic missile measuring 40 metres or longer.

The North's three previous long-range missile launches were from Musudan-ri on the east coast, where the paper said the launch structure is 32 metres high.

The North on April 5 conducted what it called a satellite launch from Musudan-ri.

The US and other powers said no satellite was detected and the exercise was a disguised test of a Taepodong-2 missile theoretically capable of reaching Alaska.

Tensions have been running high since Pyongyang fired its long-range rocket in April, tested a nuclear bomb in May, and then launched short-range missiles and renounced the truce that ended the Korean War.

US and South Korean officials have said earlier there are signs it may be preparing to test-fire another long-range missile.

US intelligence sources also believe the North is likely to respond to tougher new UN sanctions announced Friday with another nuclear test, according to American TV networks.

Chosun said constant movements of personnel and vehicles had been spotted at Kilju county in the northeast where the first two tests were conducted.

Other sources have said there are no signs yet of preparations for a third test.

FWIW, I did NOT know North Korea is a NWO site for FEMA camps testing, etc. No wonder why their government has never really been a "threat", outside of fearmongering, that is.

Report: NKorea may fire missile toward Hawaii

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gon062DlnM-aarORNlnhk5kDuyRwD98SS97O0

TOKYO (AP) — North Korea may fire a long-range ballistic missile toward Hawaii in early July, a Japanese newspaper said Thursday, amid escalating tensions between the communist country and the United States over Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs.

The missile, believed to be a long-range Taepodong-2, would be launched from North Korea's Dongchang-ni site on the northwestern coast, said the Yomiuri daily, Japan's top-selling newspaper. It cited an analysis by the Japanese Defense Ministry and intelligence gathered by U.S. reconnaissance satellites.

The missile launch could come between July 4 and 8, the paper said. It noted North Korea had fired the Taepodong-2 missile on July 4, 1996. Also July 8 is the anniversary of the 1994 death of North Korea founder Kim Il Sung.

The Yomiuri report is the latest in mounting media speculation that the communist country could launch a long-range missile soon following its underground nuclear test on May 25.

A spokesman for the Japanese Defense Ministry declined to comment on the report. Officials from South Korea's Defense Ministry and the National Intelligence Service — the country's main spy agency — said they could not confirm it.

While the Yomiuri speculated the Taepodong-2 could fly over Japan and toward Hawaii, it said the missile would not be able to hit the main islands of Hawaii.

In Washington on Tuesday, Gen. James Cartwright, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said it would take at least three to five years for North Korea to pose a real threat to the West Coast of the United States.

North Korea is believed to have enough weaponized plutonium for at least half a dozen atomic bombs. The regime revealed last week that it is also producing enriched uranium. The two materials are key ingredients for making atomic bombs.

North Korea conducted its second nuclear test on May 25 following its first underground atomic blast in October 2006.

The United Nations last week punished North Korea over the May nuclear test by expanding an arms embargo and authorizing ship searches on the high seas in a bid to derail its nuclear and missile programs.

North Korea has claimed its nuclear bombs are a deterrent against the United States and accuses Washington of plotting with Seoul to topple its secretive regime — led by the unpredictable dictator Kim Jong Il who is reportedly preparing to hand over power to his 26-year-old youngest son, Jong Un.

Associated Press writer Hyung-jin Kim in Seoul contributed to this report.

Interesting choice of words, "towards Hawaii" instead of "into the Pacific Ocean". It sounds like a deliberately alarmist spin. If you stand anywhere on the Pacific rim and face the middle of that ocean you are facing Hawaii.

Notice how noone is saying how they could possibly know which direction a missile is going to go? They haven't got a clue. This is just fearmongering to stir up support against NK. Consider the source is Japan, who has nothing but hate for NK, yet won't do a thing on their own. They resort to dragging the US into their regional bickering.

Grand fine point.
This above all other DENIALS annoyed me the most about the "shocked look" foreknowledge that 'hitting buildings with hijacked passenger jets was conceivable'. But then you're gonna drag me down my favourite conspiracy cul-de-sac which is computer controlled planes aiming for the homing beacons installed in both towers at the almost exact floors as structural repairs that were done a few weeks beforehand....

"surface to air missles" and what can the usa do what 1 working AMS system?  how does that work when they could lunch atlest  40+ missiles at the coasts  within the range of  2,500KM form there own coast to hit the whole west coast of america with nukes and with normal strikes on the pipelines.?
not saying they could win but saying they could do it.
heres a good pic of there missile ranges.
