It would be instructive at this time to recall why the American citizenry and Congress have historically opposed the registration of firearms. The reason is plain. Registration makes it easy for a tyrannical government to confiscate firearms and to make prey of its subjects.

How, in the movie 'Red Dawn', did the Cuban colonel know where to find gun owners? Because of registration

Never, never, never!!!

Most of the gun dealers are aware of this and will do what is needed when the time comes.

Shred their records or rat out the armed?

Wow, I saw it when it first came out but I can't recall the burning scene, but that was long before I understood the role of guns in a free society.

Pretty scary though, that too many people buy into the regulation treason.

Won't do a lot of good to burn the 4473's anyway.   The feds will just round all of us dealers up and kick the shit out of us (or waterboard us) until we talk.

What matters is wither you will back your dealer (and your nation).
97% of you are more interested in getting yours and burying it for the "big one" anyhow.
Then you'll just dig them up and turn yours in anyway when Obamalamadingdong tells you to.
What are you doing RIGHT NOW to save the nation? Oh I see, you're rearranging the deck chairs.
Good get them and you out of the way so we can bail.

Could be Freeski, could be.  I see lots of chair shuffling every day and everyone is sitting there pointing out the "icebergs"  but no one is bailing.  That is why I went with Appleseed, but you'll never know if you don't go to one.

chrsswtzr,
Do you really believe that?
Do you think registering your firearms will cause the government to " SPY on you and USE it AGAINST you in the future"?

They don't have to do any such thing.  They have already satisfied themselves that you (generically speaking) are a sheep or a nut.  That's all they need to either butcher you or lock you in St. "E's" till you rot.

Rekindling the Revolutionary War is not the way to succeed.   It would be pure and simple M.A.D. like I said in my interview with AJ back in December.  America as we know it would cease to exist.   I made that very clear.   Doesn't me that we shouldn't retain the capability, that is the only thing that keeps them even slightly honest,  but its a bad idea.

As John Adams said “The Revolution was effected before the War commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations. This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people, was the real American Revolution.”  Adams was quite adamant in completely separating the American Revolution from the Revolutionary War.   (emphasis mine)

I invite each of you separately and collectively to keep the American Revolution alive.
Should you try to reignite the Revolutionary War, I'll damn you to hell, as should the rest of the nation.

The gov't wants violent rebellion, as then it has all the excuse it needs, and especially support from anyone afraid of guns. Removing your consent, saying no are more important.

That said, consider these words:

Quote
"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say goodbye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst; the cursed machine would have ground to a halt . . ."
