I went to Gander Mtn today. and looked at a few Shotguns

Remington 870 tactical $700 in Black

Mossberg 535 Either Thumbhole

or tactical

what do you guys think? or any other suggestion cheaper the better. i would say 700 is most i want to spend. but cheaper would be better.

Get the tactical when you're running through the forests protecting yourself and your family from the scum.

Mossberg tactical is a good choice.

Any Mossberg really. I like the Model 500 and Also XTruthseekerX got a decent shotgun, the Maverick by Mossberg.

Thumbhole stocks are not too bad if they are universal but if they are hand specific (left-handed or right-handed) it sucks if you would have to switch hands.

The mossberg tac was pretty cheap at 429. I might go grab it tomorrow. depending on the amount of ammo i can get. it seemed like they still had pretty stocked shelves so im sure it wont be a problem

Just don't get one with a choke in it. Best tactical stock ever made.

Remmington > Mossberg

A Remington fan. Nothing wrong with that.

I pickup my Remmington 870 Express Magnum, load it, pump it, empty it, and disassemble it, and it is smoother, tighter, and easier all around than my Mossberg 500.

Not to say I don't love them both (hell my mossberg holds one more round than my remm), but if I had to choose ONE, it would be my Remmington every day of the week.

I got a really old 500 that has a lot of rounds through it. It may not be as smooth as my 870's but it get it done.

Remmington > Mossberg
Mossberg, because the safety is in a much easier place to access without moving the hand off of the gun and I think the Mossy 590, that holds a total of 9 rounds, is more than the Remington holds! Plus my 590 with the heat shield just looks mean as hell!!!! Wink
