It just locked up. I was trying to load prisonplanet.com. Probably a coincidence, but did it happen to anyone else? I'm running Firefox on Ubuntu.

No, not today, but last night when they were being hacked during the Infowarrior broadcast my laptop just shut off for no reason at all right during transmission. It was very weird, but I chalked it up to coincidence Who know's man... Just last week my DVD burner stopped working. It wouldn't read/write discs, but it opened and powered on and was recognized as the correct drive by my computer. This was just after I had burned off +100 copies of the End Game & Obama Deception to hand out to people. I was thinking to myself "No... they couldn't have... no way... " and a week later my drive just started working again. And, yes, I just chalked it up to a coincidence. It's all speculation I suppose. I download lots of stuff from the internet, and I'm a notable member of a torrent community, and I upload TBs of TRUTH videos and information. Am I being targeted? I doubt it.

I switched to Ubuntu about 3 weeks ago, after a nasty virus rendered my WinXP installation useless. Rather than spend a week reinstalling Windows, patches and apps, I was up and running on Ubuntu in less than 2 hours.

My humble apologies with dual-boot xp Jeez, don't take it personally, just having some fun in this informational madness going now.... @Size10: Set it to outbound policy, restrictive, and add HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP and POP3 ONLY to be allowed outbound traffic.... It's in the Policy tab

Thanks, GakunGak, I'll give that a try. BTW, I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 last week.

upgrade to ubuntu 9.04 I would upgrade to Xubuntu 9.04 on the laptop (comes with the new Xfce4 4.6), but my laptop didn't like it when I tested Alpha 6. (Screen resolution was f**ked up.) As it is, I'm more than comfortable with Xubuntu 8.04. (Although I might try to install an updated kernel one day.)

How is Ubuntu running for you Size10?
I like it. It boots really quick. The only thing I don't like is the iPod support in Rhythmbox. It seems to fill up the iPod with "other" files, and I have to refresh the iPod on a Windows PC.

I had the exact same thing with my burner..i just closed and opened the case over and over again, also at the exact time i was burning the obama deception with dutch subtitles on DVD
