Al just got pissed when asked if the company he is a partner in will benefit from cap and trade.  Also, he blatantly didn't answer the yes or no question, and claimed that all proceeds go to his non-profit company.  Roll Eyes  Right after that, Rep. Markey jumps in and says Gore's motivations should not be questioned.  Angry

I just spotted this: http://www.zimbio.com/Global+Warming+Hoax/articles/118/Church+Invests+200+Million+Al+Gore+Green+Company

I didn't think it was common for churches to have investment portfolios  Huh

hahaha...Waxman accuses Gingrich of fear mongering.  Oh man that was hilarious.  Gingrich cautions against rampant increase of gov to attack a threat that may not exist and Waxman says HE is fearmongering...wow.

Gingrich says alot i agree with sometimes but he's scary. I remember him on Fox a few years ago talking about WWIII starting and he looked like he was drooling over a pork chop while talking about it. I got the impression he was excited like a little boy on christmas morning. Tongue

What they are all NOT saying is that the entire department of Energy is Anti-Constitutional.  It goes completely against the natural rights of citizens to life, liberty, and the pursuit of hapiness.  The entire idea that the American people need to be controlled by energy systems, confined by these systems, taxed by these sytems, and manipulated by these "smart systems" is totally Stalinist/Hitlerian.  It goes completely against humanity and is defacto slavery which has been deemed unnatural since Persia's Cyrus the great initiated the first rights of man over 3,000 years ago.

And that is how you know the entire thing is staged.

They both relate to carbon as if it is a poison in some way when we know this tortured and completely refuted falsity was invented by Rothschild/Rockefeller/Strong and exposed over 15 years ago by George Hunt:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
George Hunt initially wanted to buy a ticket but this proved to be much too expensive ($650). At the conference he noticed it had very little to do with the conventional environment movement and was surprised to see people like Maurice Strong, Edmund de Rothschild (Pilgrims Society), David Rockefeller (Pilgrims Society), and James A. Baker (Pilgrims Society; Cap & Gown; trustee American Institute for Contemporary German Studies; Atlantic Council of the United States; National Security Planning Group; Bohemian Grove; CFR; Carlyle; advisor George W. Bush in his 2000 election). In his two videos, produced in 1989 and 1992, he plays audio recordings of several of the 1987 speakers, including Maurice Strong and Edmund de Rothschild (71). There's not really a reason to label these recordings a hoax (to use UFO community language) and subsequently denounce George Hunt as a fraud. In fact, Hunt could hardly have done a better job at presenting his evidence. However, some of the evidence this person has uncovered is so amazing, that most people will remain skeptical (like me), no matter how much evidence is presented. If what Hunt is claiming is true, then it confirms the overall picture that has been sketched in this article. First take a look at the following Fourth World Wilderness Conference (1987) statement from David Lang (spelling unknown; a Montreal banker, according to Hunt):
"I suggest therefore that this be sold not through a democratic process - that would take too long and devour far too much of the funds - to educate the cannon fodder, unfortunately, that populates the earth. We have to take almost an elitist program, [so] that we can see beyond our swollen bellies, and look to the future in timeframes and in results which are not easily understood, or which can be, with intellectual honesty, be reduced down to some kind of simplistic definition."
Had I known about this before hand I would have recorded the first three hours of today's testimonies and transcribed every word.
We need to stop personally criticizing the proponents of CO2 taxation and address the validity of the information they are presenting- Calling Al Gore an NWO shill and criticizing his personal energy usage serves only to distract anyone trying to make sense of this from the facts that A: While there is an association between CO2 and climate change, causation of climate change by CO2 has not been definitively established, and B: a tax on CO2 wouldn't reduce global CO2 emissions. CO2 producing industries would simply move to locations where CO2 is not regulated. A cap and trade carbon credit system would unnecessarily increase the cost of living for everyone while doing nothing to improve our planet. If CO2 emissions were a threat to national security (as Senator John Warner stated), then the government would mandate corporations to use the most efficient and clean methods available instead of taxing the emissions released using outdated energy technologies.
Maybe we can talk AJ or Bermas into spending entire show going over the highlights of the Climate Change Legislation hearings.
They both talk about this often and like you said find that the other discussions divide people in the left/right paradigm.
Report: Democrats Refuse to Allow Skeptic to Testify Alongside Gore At Congressional Hearing
By Marc Morano
Thursday, April 23, 2009
'House Democrats don't want Gore humiliated'
Climate Depot Exclusive - Updated
Washington, DC -- UK's Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science advisor to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, claimed House Democrats have refused to allow him to appear alongside former Vice President Al Gore at a high profile global warming hearing on Friday April 24, 2009 at 10am in Washington. Monckton told Climate Depot that the Democrats rescinded his scheduled joint appearance at the House Energy and Commerce hearing on Friday. Monckton said he was informed that he would not be allowed to testify alongside Gore when his plane landed from England Thursday afternoon.
“The House Democrats don't want Gore humiliated, so they slammed the door of the Capitol in my face,” Monckton told Climate Depot in an exclusive interview. “They are cowards.”
According to Monckton, Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas), Ranking Member on the Energy & Commerce Committee, had invited him to go head to head with Gore and testify at the hearing on Capitol Hill Friday. But Monckton now says that when his airplane from London landed in the U.S. on Thursday, he was informed that the former Vice-President had “chickened out” and there would be no joint appearance. Gore is scheduled to testify on Friday to the Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment's fourth day of hearings on the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. The hearing will be held in 2123 Rayburn House Office Building.
According to Monckton, House Democrats told the Republican committee staff earlier this week that they would be putting forward an unnamed 'celebrity' as their star witness Friday at a multi-panel climate hearing examining the House global warming bill. The "celebrity" witness turned out to be Gore. Monckton said the GOP replied they would respond to the Democrats' "celebrity" with an unnamed "celebrity" of their own. But Monckton claims that when the Democrats were told who the GOP witness would be, they refused to allow him to testify alongside Gore.
[ Update: 1:55 PM EST: A GOP House source told Climate Depot that the Democrats on the Committee said “absolutely not” to allowing Monckton to appear during today's Gore hearing. The GOP committee “pushed at multiple levels” to bring Monckton in to testify but the Democrats “refused,” according to the GOP source. Former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich was called in to testify after Monckton was rejected by the committee Democrats, according to the Congressional source.]
“The Democrats have a lot to learn about the right of free speech under the US Constitution. Congress Henry Waxman's (D-CA) refusal to expose Al Gore's sci-fi comedy-horror testimony to proper, independent scrutiny by the House minority reeks of naked fear,” Monckton said from the airport Thursday evening.
“Waxman knows there has been no 'global warming' for at least a decade. Waxman knows there has been seven and a half years' global cooling. Waxman knows that, in the words of the UK High Court judge who condemned Gore's mawkish movie as materially, seriously, serially inaccurate, 'the Armageddon scenario that he depicts is not based on any scientific view,'” Monckton explained. Monckton has previously testified before the House Committee in March. (See: Monckton: Have the courage to do nothing...US Congress told climate change is not real ) Monckton has also publicly challenged Gore to a debate. (See: Al Gore Challenged to International TV Debate on Global Warming By Lord Monckton - March 19, 2007 )
A call to the Democratic office of the House Energy and Commerce Committee seeking comment was not immediately returned Thursday night.
