Police Pull Teens Off School Bus For Unannounced Invasive Strip-Search
Crying girls told to remove tops and submit to “waistband search” in presence of male officers[/color]
http://www.prisonplanet.com/police-pull-teens-off-school-bus-for-unannounced-invasive-strip-search.html
Louise Hoffman Broach Post-Herald Online Thursday, April 23, 2009

RED CREEK - The superintendent of the Red Creek school district is investigating complaints by students, parents and the Civil Liberties Union of Central New York that a physical search of several students for drugs might have been too intrusive.

The state Education Department is also waiting for the school to complete an inquiry, said District Superintendent David Sholes.

“We’ve had drug overdoses in the last year and a half and arrests of some of the BOCES students relative to drugs,” Sholes said about what prompted the April 9 search. “Drugs were getting to BOCES and the obvious way they were getting there was on the BOCES bus. We were trying to address a major on-going problem. If we made some mistakes, we’re willing to correct them. We’re not going to cover it up.”

On April 9, the students who attend morning classes at the BOCES center got on their bus, expecting a typical ride to the Williamson campus. What happened next, according to some of them, was anything but typical.

State troopers got on the bus and told the students to put their hands on the seats in front of them, although some students said they were told to put their hands on the bus ceiling. They were then escorted from the bus in groups of two and taken to the main office. Additionally, two students were pulled from their classes. State Police Trooper Ben Kauder, the school’s resource officer, said some of the BOCES students were suspected of having drugs; the students who were called out of class had previous dealings with the school resource officer regarding contraband.

All of the students were subjected to a search. Principal Noel Patterson, Dean of Students Matthew Van Orman and Library Aide Laurie Howland conducted it in the presence of two male state troopers. During the search, neither Sholes nor Kauder were present, they said.

All of the students were asked to turn their pockets inside out, take off their socks and shoes and their belts. Some of the female students said they were asked to remove their tops and at least one of the girls, distressed at what Kauder called a “waistband search” in the presence of males, was in tears in the office, both he and Sholes acknowledged.

While Patterson told a parent he did not ask anyone to remove clothing, Kauder and Sholes said someone could have asked the girls to remove what could have been perceived as outer garments, such as a sweatshirt or a “hoodie.” Kauder said that was how he instructed the search should be conducted.

The girls, called the search embarrassing, invasive and humiliating. Some of them, as well as some of the boys, were angry, too, that it was assumed they would be carrying drugs although they had never been in trouble for such an activity.

Remember all those "Mock United Nations Summits" that public high schools made students participate in?   The public strip searches are just more human conditioning.

1. Establish "mock" acceptance of U.N. as a global gov.

2. Dehumanize students and publicly strip their rights away.

Using drugs as an excuse for strip searches is simple not acceptable! Any law enforcement or school employee in any way connected with such activity should be fired immediately. This includes judges, detectives, officers, principals, school nurses, school counselors, or even teachers. Anyone who participates in this kind of violation of basic human rights should never work in any public capacity ever again! Further they should be charged with violating the Constitutional rights of any students who were searched in a manner that even slightly violates their right to privacy.

No wonder why MSNBC/GE is running ads to glamourize strip clubs for teens.

Cops can say..."Hey you should work at a strip club, GE/MSNBC promotes it."

God save our gracious Queen.

Tell your stupid kids NO SUBMISSION to a strip search unless they are arrested and taken to jail!  PERIOD!  That's what my parents told me.  "You tell the school or cops that you will not submit to any strip search unless you are arrested and taken to jail.  Don't answer any questions and ask for a lawyer and your parents".  This would force the cops to show probable cause for the arrest and search.  Now granted they can do a weapons pat-down before hauling you off and that is fine.  If they want you make them legally earn it.

Tell them to use their cellphones to tranfer images of the officers so they can be properly charged with child molestation, sex crimes, crimes against humanity, crimes against the constitution, racketeering (if in coordination with other government employees), invasion of privacy, illegal search, kidnapping, unlawful detainment, conspiracy to molest a child, intention to molest a child, provoking the molestation of a child, physical abuse, emotional abuse, abuse of power, using a position of influence to perform heinous crimes, and being a total piece of shit.

There IS a source for it, and I believe that this DID happen, because I've heard of similar things happening involving invasive strip searches. It certainly didn't stop THESE guys:

You are doing damage to this forum.  PP is linked to this site: http://postherald.wayuga.com/en/193/1/10048/

Contact the author and the publication to ask for your proof. You seem capaple of using a mouse and a keyboard, why not use them for something constructive like contacting the source rather than spewing unprovable false claims concerning AJ. The pp page is just posting information from a local news source.  Do you recommend that local news sources should not be used for information gathering?  Do you recommend that only FOX/CNN be used to verify information?  Look at what great jobs they have done concerning 9/11, 7/7, Iraqw War, War on Terror, vaccines, state 10th amendment reaffirmations, bilderberg, federal reserve, schools turning into concentration camps, halliburton rape indoctrination juvenille centers, AIDS, do I need to go on.

Here's a related story:
http://www.aclu.org/drugpolicy/search/34294prs20080303.html

Savana Redding, an eighth grade honor roll student at Safford Middle School in Safford, Arizona, was pulled from class on October 8, 2003 by the school’s vice principal, Kerry Wilson.  Earlier that day, Wilson had discovered prescription-strength ibuprofen – 400 milligram pills equivalent to two over-the-counter ibuprofen pills, such as Advil – in the possession of Redding’s classmate.  Safford maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward all prescription medicines, including prescription-strength ibuprofen.  Under questioning and faced with punishment, the classmate claimed that Redding, who had no history of disciplinary problems or substance abuse, had given her the pills.

After escorting Redding to his office, Wilson presented Redding with the ibuprofen pills and informed her of her classmate’s accusations.  Redding said she had never seen the pills before and agreed to a search of her possessions, wanting to prove she had nothing to hide.  Joined by a female school administrative assistant, Wilson searched Redding’s backpack and found nothing.  Instructed by Wilson, the administrative assistant then took Redding to the school nurse’s office in order to perform a strip search.

In the school nurse’s office, Redding was ordered to strip to her underwear.  She was then commanded to pull her bra out and to the side, exposing her breasts, and to pull her underwear out at the crotch, exposing her pelvic area.  The strip search failed to uncover any ibuprofen pills.

“I was embarrassed and scared, but felt I would be in more trouble if I did not do what they asked,” said Redding in a sworn affidavit following the incident.  “The strip search was the most humiliating experience I have ever had.”

That was done 8 years ago and now the case is in front of the supreme court.

For real? THIS is what you dont believe?  I've even heard of stuff like this happening in schools in my area. The cold hard truth is this shit happens all the time. Kids are a great target because a lot of the time the adults will be believed over them.

A lot of stuff like this happens that never makes it to the media. This isn't even about NWO, this is about police being given special treatment. This shit happens ALL THE TIME. When police abuse happens, government and other police agencies tend to look the other way.

I understand your skepticism of Alex Jones, trust me, I do, but this is not a good topic to choose to call bullshit on.

I know there is an age difference, but this was posted to show that cops simply do not care. They are going to do their 'job' regardless of the restraints of the Constitution, and that it is not a recent change...

Grand jury indicts ex-Thunderbolt officer

Michael Parmelee is expected to turn himself in for arrest today.

By Anne Hart
Savannah Morning News

Michael W. Parmelee, 35, of Savannah -- also a former Garden City and Savannah police officer -- was indicted on sexual battery, false imprisonment and violating the oath of a public officer.

The felony false-imprisonment charge stems from November 1999, when Parmelee was a Garden City police officer. While in uniform, he allegedly detained a 24-year-old passenger in a traffic stop, then strip-searched the man for drugs in an office at a Garden City business.

In the misdemeanor sexual battery charge, Parmelee is accused of touching an 18-year-old man's genitals without consent in April while a uniformed Thunderbolt police officer.

Parmelee resigned Tuesday from Thunderbolt Police Department, where he had worked since August 2000, said Thunderbolt Police Chief Samuel O'Dwyer. Parmelee was put on paid administrative leave in May, after the department learned of a state police investigation into allegations against him.

Parmelee is expected to turn himself over to authorities today for arrest, said David Lock, chief assistant district attorney.

While a Garden City police officer from July 1997 until resigning in December 1999, Parmelee was the subject of an internal affairs investigation in regards to the alleged strip-search.

O'Dwyer said he was never told of that allegation or the internal investigation that followed. O'Dwyer said he had asked for Parmelee's employee record and any major disciplinary actions against him.

"I got a great recommendation from Garden City," O'Dwyer said. "You have to trust that someone is going to tell you what you need to know."

Garden City officials could not be reached for comment.

According to the Garden City internal affairs investigation, Parmelee allegedly strip-searched the man after patting him down and searching his car for drugs. He found no drugs, nor weapons.

Parmelee reportedly drove the man to Labor Finders and took him to a rear office. An officer overheard him tell the man, who was not under arrest, "You take off a piece of clothing one item at a time and hand it to me."

The internal affairs investigator found that Parmelee violated procedure and the victim's constitutional rights. The investigator forwarded his report to Chief J. Wood, Garden City police chief at the time.

The grand jury indictment comes as the result of a GBI investigation that started May 3. The Chatham County District Attorney's Office requested the investigation.

The GBI typically investigates internal affairs cases within small police departments. Thunderbolt has nine sworn officers at full staff.

Public safety and crime reporter Anne Hart can be reached at 652-0374 or ahart @ savannahnow.com

Ex-Thunderbolt police officer Michael Parmelee, 35, was indicted Wednesday on false imprisonment and violation of oath by a public officer, both felonies, and sexual battery, a misdemeanor. If convicted, he could face 12 months for sexual battery, one to 10 years for false imprisonment and one to five years for violation of oath. Parmelee resigned Tuesday from Thunderbolt police.

A Chatham County grand jury indicted a former Thunderbolt police officer Wednesday on sex-related charges.
