As I said in my other respnse:
Quote
State soviergnty isn't secession. It is simply redeclaring a right it already has under the 9th and 10th amendment, it's propper constitutional place in a federal republic. There are people far more articulate at explaining this than I am, but I will try to nut-shell it ffor you.
Our federal government was created by the states when they entered in to contract with each other, the constitution being that contract between the states. The federal government is a subserviant agent of the states, created to carry out the common business of the states. It does not have any authority not granted in the constitution and in fact, does not even exist with out the consent of the states and people.
the problem is, it has become an entity unto itself and now believes itself to be a seperate and soviergn agent over the states. These soviergnty resolutions seek to remid the federal government that this is in fact NOT it's propper place. In essence, it is like a parent telling theri kids,  "you live under MY roof and by My rules, I am the parent, NOT you
