Cosponsors are pouring onto the bill faster than the Library of Congress' site can keep up (We're up to 91 now, but the listing won't show until early next week.)

Don't get your hopes up.  From what I can tell, fewer than a dozen or the Republican sponsors are actually on the House Financial Services Committee, and none of the Democrats on the committee are sponsors.  This bill will not make it out of committee and, even if it did, would die in the Senate.  It's a pipe dream.  Sorry folks.

What is a pipe dream?

That 91 congressmen signed on to audit the fed?

How is that a pipe dream, it actually is demonstrative of the outcry against the fed's secrecy?

What pipe dream are you talking about?

"pipe dream; noun
a fantastic but vain hope (from fantasies induced by the opium pipe); 'I have this pipe dream about being emperor of the universe'"

That's about right.

How is it a pipe dream that 91 representatives signed on as cosponsors to a bill that audits the federal reserve?

That makes no sense, this is a fact. There are 91 cosponsors, what dream are you referring to?

It's a pipe dream because the end result, we would all want, is all but impossible. If the end result is to have some kind of action taken in Congress, anything at all, then it could happen. If the end result is to look inside the Fed and have disclosure of the scam of the Federal Reserve to the American people and the world, then maybe I will become the "emperor of the universe".

But let's say there is disclosure, and something is done to change the system, what would follow? There is too much time and money involved for the power brokers to just give up and walk away.

Pipe dream.

I listened to the Alex Jones Show when guest Sen. Ron Paul was on the air and heard the success in his voice. Ron Paul has made great strides towards passing this bill! Let's not lose any steam with this one, this is our ticket to freedom!! Among so many things I can think of, this actually has plausibility to come to fruition! God, would that be one helluva day, huh?!

End result?

There is no end result, there is only progress.  A year ago he could not get 2 people to cosponsor such a thing, now there are 91.  I think that is pretty f-ing impressive and a sign that people are waking up.

Yes, this is waking more and more people up everyday!

Some representatives had no clue that the FED couldn't be audited and had never been audited! Amazing who has what little power they have in our country, no?

I stated on the Democratic Underground Forum that the Fed wasn't audited a few years back.

I got all the usual sock puppets calling me all kinds of names and insisting that of course the Fed is audited.

We need to wake up the public. Unfortunately, some are already casualties in this war we are engaged in. If they just will defend their right to be ignorant, than maybe ignorance truly is bliss in their warped reality. As my good teacher and mentor has told me "....move on to the next person, step over the dead bodies, and keep on keeping on...." As cold and chalice as this may seem, this is just how it is. We need to wake up as many people as quickly as we can. To waste time trying to convince the already brain warped individual just isn't worth it right now in this crucial point in time! The battle is now! Stand up, rise and fight for our freedom. Wake up!!!

112?? This is enormous. This thing really might pass. Imagine how big that would be. Ever since Vietnam when the Gold Standard was ended, the Federal Reserve has done nothing but distort the free market.

hey guys just an idea.... If this thing really does pass, we should have a rally in Washington as soon after as we can and let them know that we are serious about a real audit of the Fed not some "9/11 commission" type audit where they cover up the truth with lies!!

Yeah. How do we make sure it doesn't turn into a "inside audit job"?

I've been banned from that site at least three times over the last several years.  No real discussions about anything have ever been allowed on that site, other than rabid Democrat worship...  It's simply an echo chamber.  I can't even begin to imagine what it's like today since the messiah was enthrowned.
