so how about you tie a rope to a plough, and drag it yourself...? Now thats not real nice is it. This is why God gave us horses and oxen. When they wear out you just mate them and get a new one. having robots "doing our work for us" was not the impression i got, the impression i got was that removing the scarcity of things like energy would go someway to freeing us of things like poverty for instance, as well as the removal of money as debt, or debt as money whichever way you want to look at it. Having free energy would be nice. And it would go along way to enhancing our life style. But having technology do our work for us was stated in the movie. They've arleady developed robot sweepers for your house that goes around and sweeps every couple of hours or so. It returns to its recharge station, recharges and then off it goes again. This is a robot. So calm down. incentives, as the movie put it, would change, they would emerge. feeding, clothing, and giving shelter to all humans in a clean and sustainable way is a reality, it is perfectly within our grasp, and naturally this would change our society. im certainly not advocating the removal of the medium of exchange, nor removing the rights and responsibilities of the individual, but technology is not to be feared, just as money (medium of exchange) is not to be feared, both can be used to benefit of mankind, rather than the enslavement. I agree with this.

OK then, but you would have to admit that if an asteroid came flying through the atmosphere with a long tail and hit a major city in times of tension that it could be considered an attack. If it hits Iran, they are likely just to press the button without opening an eye because they must feel like they are sitting on a powder keg right now. Just as you feel you are on the police watch list and you jumped when you heard noises outside.

Oh I get it...though again how are we to do better with the current system? Strict Constitutionalism...maybe? The problem I see with that is, apparently the government has the right to suspend the constitution so that's kinda sketchy in regards to how far we can take our supposed in alienable rights , I guess it's our government that grants our rights in that case. I have been for Anarchy , spiritually and governmentally for awhile now. It is truly the only way for responsible people to be free

Robots were impied, what else would do our work for us? Slave labor maybe. Utopia's are a great dream but that is all they are, dreams. Again I push this issue, to see this society in action read Animal Farm. That was a pure resource based society, where everyone works together for the common good. But as in the book you still need leaders.
from Joe(WI): Animal Farm 1-8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlVdl-hGJbchttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enQPzXscKMMhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBmfh7Oa9Tchttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TX4typa1Ip8http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amOCREUvAy0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlHn9MJobfAhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4Cnz5B-8tEhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDQUeXqL2JI

to throw in my two pennies worth
i thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie, it was well made, I expected nothing else the guy knows how to make good documentaries. The stuff on the Fed and debt was first rate, quite superb and worth showign to anone.
I was disappointed that he went straight to utopia without looking at initial stage imporvements such as end the Fed, BoE etc etc, end the war on drugs, sort out education, stop wars, take back government, more of this stuff would have been better.
But I found the Venus stuff interesting if not entirely compelling, it is a shame they called it VENUS which has clear occultic implications and the attacks on religious belief were unsound - I would have been delighted to see attacks on Vatican, Evangelical churches, extremist islam, Hindi nationalism etc etc, however, it would have been better if they left BELIEF alone
The technology stuff looked great and I am sure that part of the game is indeed to suppress these technologies playing a full part in our world bringing resources and freedom to people, and the maglev trains sound wonderful, i want that stuff in our world, way better than oil based transport.
but yes I agree the Venus project takes some wonderful ideas and turns it into some utopia where you could nmever be sure of the outcome unless you had goen through all the stages of ending debt, fed, secret societies, war, organised religious power groups and eventually you likely could fade out money................. btu that is centuries away
really we needed more solutions for how we get on the road to there, how we end the control of the elites and their psycopathic rule and the film did not offer much in that respect.
But still I did enjoy it, however, it will not be top of my list to forward to people, it did not draw heavily enough of Z1 and follow through with some of those ideas enough to be a great wake up tool
(and yes there does exist the possibility that the venus people are some sort of controlled group by some Huxlian elitist somewhere, even their name is dodgy and at the end of the movie there were some unnecessary flashes and white blotches on the screen which made me wonder if they are programming people to an extent)
However, they did say that they were for personal freedom of choice and not soem sort of tyrannical society, but I am not sure they have got it quite right.
thought provoking but not quite enough hits against the NWO to be what I have hoped it would be.

I'm not sure what to think about this movie. Every time I try to write something against the ideas presented I get this overwhelming feeling that in my heart that this might very well be the answer... or at least part of the answer. I don't want to agree with getting rid of the monetary system. I feel it should be improved and the corrupted powers should be disassembled. But then my mind starts to think.. what good it to destroy the institutions and replace them with something else if the corruption and greed in humanity is still there. You're only exchanging one evil for another. You have to change the spirit before you can change the physical.
So I think Peter.. once again.. is right. Even though I feel that if everything was handed to people then yes, they'd be lazy and non contributing to society (hence welfare). But if the spirit changes... is it then possible?
he says get rid of the monetary-ist system, not the medium of exchange. im a little bemused at how people came away from that believing we should just get rid of money all together, true, money as we know it might be obsolete, but it is communist dogma to suggest doing away with all money. its like the people that think that old saying goes "money is the root of all evil" that is WRONG, it is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil. or put another way, no need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

I have just listened to Alex's critique of Zeitgeist Addendum. I have to admit I have not seen Zeitgeist Addendum yet ( I watched the first and thought it was very good), but from what I heard today, I have to conclude I was very disappointed by what was being stated in this latest Zeitgeist piece. Here are a couple of bullet points (and keep in mind I'm not coming into this from a religious outlook): - Technology will be the saviour of us all - we must embrace machinery (does that extend to microchips as well?)
He also brings up nanochips and digs up the old fossil fuel bull - I thought Greg Palast debunked that one a long time ago. - Work and money must be abolished (sounds like Marxism/Communism, and we all knew how well that worked, and that Marx's Communist Manifesto was a plagiarised version of Adam Weishaupt's doctrine, AKA the founder of the Illuminati)
- The old man badmouthing religion as the root of all evil. Again, I'm not religious, but I think that atheism is equally as destructive as religion.
- It's basically a pipedream - oh, we would fix the world overnight if we did all of this. Yeah well, the problem is, that it won't - first of all, the current power elite would never let it get that far. Secondly, all that suppressed technology, they're not all that intent on releasing it. They want to enslave us with technology, not enable us.
- The pushing of a centralized world body that would make global decisions.
