Basically what I have here are various links and info that show the connections of Aleister Crowley - Rudolph Hess - Hitler and the Tavistock group.
This would tend to reinforce information from the book "Hiltler was a British Agent". However no where in Hallet's book does Crowley's name ever come up.
It does bring up points such actively collecting Photo's and birth dates of (young?) men with the purpose of matching them up for future use as Doppelgangers ...
Crowley wanted to find a doppelganger of Himself and of others in his network (Hess? , Hitler?)
Crowley was an agent for the British. The MI5 intelligence agency had a department known as the Occult Bureau
Golden Dawn : members Crowley and Duke of Bedford who was involved with setting up The Tavistock Group in WWI.
It was the Marquees of Tavistock, 12th Duke of Bedford, whom Rudolf Hess flew to England to contact
http://www.blackraiser.com/nredoubt/ident2.htmBefore Hitler was: Looking for a Doppelganger
The occultist magician Aleister Crowley liked to describe himself as the Antichrist of the Apocalypse (Therion - Beast 666) and once boasted: "BeforeH itler was, I am." He often claimed that Adolf Hitler was his guinea pig or magic child, <
http://www.magicchild.com/html/hypnosisfaq.html > a term used by hypnotists to describe an "inner shadow" or product of the unguarded psyche.
While in America during the First World War, Crowley unflinchingly proposed "collecting a large number of photographs, full face and profile for each subject, and classifying them according to the horoscope." To other occultists, such a photo experiment would have been for "the educated astrologer to adopt scientific methods of study." But it would have also been a very good way for a schemer of in-the-flesh identity fraud to look for his double or look-alike:
"The labour required for this research would be enormous, but the bulk of it would be done by ordinary clerks. And as for the preliminary difficulty of collecting material, any great newspaper could carry out the scheme easily enough. It would of course be necessary to publish an explanation of the proposal with a questionnaire covering the principle points, and asking for good photographs to be sent with the filled up form." - The Confessions of Aleister Crowley
Police and military intelligence files are even better sources for collecting mug shots than a newspaper survey. According to Crowley, Professor Hugo Munsterberg of Harvard University was the war-time secret director of German propaganda in America. Crowley went to great lengths to act as a friend to Munsterberg and even volunteered to collect and report information for Germany and the Central Powers of World War I.
Hundreds or perhaps thousands of photographs of German soldiers could have been classified and studied to find Crowley's look-alike. But why Aleister Crowley? According to some accounts, Crowley was not only an occultist, but also a double-agent during the First World War; a skilled practitioner of counter-espionage. He wrote disturbing anti-British stories for a pro-German weekly paper called The Fatherland, published in America by George Sylvester Viereck. And the New York Times even printed a three-column article about how he supposedly destroyed his British passport, while standing in a small motorboat with a woman playing a violin, under the Statue of Liberty. Crowley had told Viereck in 1915 that he wanted to help Germany in order "to exploit the stupidity of the British public." But he later claimed to others that he was actually doing mischief to Germany by working upon "the baser passions of the mob" and wrecking the German propaganda machine.
"It was necessary to persuade the Germans that arrogance and violence were sound policy, that bad faith was the cleverest diplomacy, that insult was the true meaning of winning friendship, and direct injury the proper conjuration to call up gratitude." - The Confessions of Aleister Crowley
The brutalizing or demoralization of Germany was his apparent goal. During the First World War, Crowley sent secret correspondence to an acquaintance in the British Intelligence Department, saying that he was "in a position to get into the full confidence of the Germans." Crowley maintained that he "had the absolute confidence, years old, of a man high in the German secret service," and that he "could go to Germany" under an assumed identity and "report on the conditions of the country" as a spy for Britain. When his secret proposal was rejected by British Intelligence, Crowley wrote that he "was compelled to go on playing a lone hand." If Crowley was indeed preparing to penetrate the German intelligence community, having his own German look-alike would have provided him with a safety escape measure. Perhaps this is where our doppelganger plot of identity fraud begins.
While it is still not clear whether Aleister Crowley was primarily spying for Britain, Germany, or a rogue regime, we do know from his writings that he was looking for a distinct type of doppelganger or "Magic Child." Of course, Crowley's double had to be someone who closely resembled him in photos and in the flesh. But Crowley also needed a look-alike with a clean police and service record, perhaps even a soldier noted for courage on the battlefield. He also needed someone single, an unknown loner living far enough away from any family members or friends who might otherwise notice the "switch-over." But most important, he needed someone who was still morally innocent; a virgin. The Magic Child would be the ritual sacrificial victim or foundational guinea pig for Crowley's new anti-Christian religion. The motives which determined the policy of Crowley's political actions would be kept secret. The Magic Child would be forced to forfeit his identity and, if the devil had his way, even his soul.
"For the highest spiritual working one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence. It is the sacrifice of oneself spiritually. And the intelligence and innocence of that male child are the perfect understanding of the Magician, his one aim, without lust of result. And male he must be, because what he sacrifices is not the material blood, but his creative power." - Aleister Crowley
Switch-Over: The Great Change In his 1983 book The Leader and the Damned, <
http://www.colin-forbes.co.uk/books/10.shtml > Colin Forbes was perhaps first to make popular the idea that Adolf Hitler's double may have been responsible for the final horrors of the Second World War. Forbes points to a 1943 bomb attack on the Fuhrer's private plane as the time for the "switch-over" between the real Hitler and his impostor. But recent studies indicate that the greatest change in Adolf Hitler's personality (and physical appearance) took place long before he became well-known. It happened in 1918, while Hitler was still a soldier at the end of World War I.
About two months after winning the Iron Cross, Hitler was blinded by mustard gas during a battle. He was taken to the Pasewalk military hospital in northern Germany where he was diagnosed as suffering from "psychopathic hysteria." Hitler was consequently placed under the care of a psychiatrist, Dr. Edmund Forster.
What exactly was done to Hitler while under Dr. Forster's care is uncertain because years later, in 1933, the Gestapo rounded up all psychiatric records related to Hitler's treatment and destroyed them. Dr. Forster "committed suicide" in that same year. In a work published in the History of Childhood Quarterly, psycho-historian Dr. Rudolph Binion suggested that Hitler's psychopathic visions may have been deliberately induced by the military hospital psychiatrist, Edmund Forster. Dr. Binion cited a book completed in 1939 entitled, Der Augenzeuge (The Eyewitness), written by a Jewish doctor named Ernst Weiss who knew Dr. Forster and had fled Germany in 1933. It is a thinly fictionalized account of Hitler's "miracle cure." As a follow-up in a published review, David Bonnell recently summarized the Pasewalk puzzle:
There is considerable controversy regarding precisely when Hitler became driven to destroy the Jews and dominate the world. There is strong evidence, however, that the 'hate and pain' which characterized Hitler's speeches in 1919 and afterward, as well as his fanatical purpose, were not in evidence prior to his psychiatric treatment.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana (Reuters) -- Adolf Hitler's belief he was meant to rule the world may have stemmed in part from a hypnotic suggestion given during treatment for hysterical blindness in 1918, a Louisiana psychiatrist said in the November Journal of Forensic Science. Dr. David Post, a forensic psychiatrist at the state's forensics hospital in Jackson, Louisiana, based his theory on a book he believes used material from a German military hospital where Hitler was treated after he was temporarily blinded in a mustard gas attack in the First World War in October 1918. Hitler was a corporal at the time, but the hospital records from that period were later destroyed by the Gestapo, although Hitler wrote of his sudden blindness and his resolve to enter politics if he regained his sight. After Germany's surrender on Nov. 11, 1918, Hitler wrote that he had "a supernatural vision ... A miracle came to pass" and he could see again.
In a book called "Eyewitness" by Ernst Weiss, an exiled German doctor and novelist, a German psychiatrist in a military hospital uses hypnotic suggestion in a still-accepted medical protocol for post-traumatic stress syndrome. He tells the patient A.H.: "I am a simple doctor. But perhaps you yourself have the rare power, which occurs only occasionally in a thousand years, to work a miracle. Jesus did it. Mohammed. The saints.... An ordinary person with such a condition would be blind for life. But for a person of particular strength and will and spiritual energy, there are no limits."
"You have to have a blind faith in yourself, then you will stop being blind ... You know that Germany needs people who have energy and blind self-confidence. Austria is at an end, but not Germany," the book passage stated. Hitler was born in Austria. Post believes that passage was based on the German Pasewalk Military Hospital notes and records of Weiss' friend, Dr. Edmund Forster, chief of the Berlin University Nerve Clinic, who treated Hitler at Pasewalk in 1918.
"It was chilling and disturbing to me to read what I believe may have been an account of his hypnotic session," Post told Reuters. Weiss wrote the book for a literary competition in Paris in 1933.
He committed suicide as the German army marched into the city and the book was not published until the 1960s. Weiss also was on the board of a German exiles newspaper Forster contacted in Paris in 1933, taking copies of his records from Pasewalk. Forster warned the editorial board not to be surprised if he were killed.
Shortly after returning to Germany, Post said, Forster was picked up by the Gestapo on charges of "harboring a subversive attitude toward the new (Hitler's) regime." After 13 days of interrogation, Forster was reported to have killed himself. The records of Hitler's 29-day stay at Pasewalk later were destroyed by the Gestapo, Post said. Although Hitler suffered what are now considered classic symptoms of mustard gas poisoning, including depression, he was diagnosed as a "psychopath with hysterical tendencies" by Forster even before the hysterical blindness, Post said.
Post is a faculty member at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans and a former fellow in forensic psychiatry at Harvard University Medical School, where he began his research on Hitler. Post documented connections between Weiss and Forster through interviews with historians, a Hitler biographer, a copy of a 1943 U.S. Naval Intelligence report declassified in 1973, and records of the German exiles' newspaper.
"Because of the deaths and the records' destruction, we'll never be able to prove definitively if Weiss' book is a direct account from Forster's reports or just an incorporation of key passages," Post said. "But I'm convinced the account is true."
Psycho-historians agree that the greatest change in Adolf Hitler's life occurred in Pasewalk Military Hospital <http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Pasewalk+Military+Hospital&btnG=Google+Search> while recovering from a mustard gas attack at the end of World War I. His hatred for Jews may have been implanted there by hypnosis, drugs and modern brain washing techniques. But if Aleister Crowley saw a double or look-alike in Hitler, his sudden switch-over to Aryan racism would not have been a coincidence. To bigoted Crowley, all women were unintelligent, and black men were primitive. Jews were vile in his opinion and "possess bad qualities" not because they want to, but because they have been forced to behave as such by the development of hostility over a long period of time:
"But the Jew has been persecuted so relentlessly that his survival has depended on the development of his worst qualities; avarice, servility, falseness, cunning and the rest." - The Confessions of Aleister Crowley
An explanation for what may have happened in Pasewalk to cause Hitler's desire to rule the world is that Dr. Forster developed a scientific method of producing a "programmed assassin" or cruel, pre-coded tyrant using mind control drugs. But the drastic alteration of Hitler's personality may have been a more thorough switch-over than just a change of mind. Pasewalk would have presented a perfect opportunity for identity theft <
http://www.findarticles.com/m0FWK/1_20/53895703/p1/article.jhtml >, the world's fastest growing crime today. If so, perhaps the real Adolf Hitler never left the military psychiatrist's watch, but remained an experimental hostage or guinea pig (i.e. extraordinary rendition) until his apparent suicide. An in-the-flesh impostor such as Crowley, using Hitler's name and personal data to spy within Germany in ways that involved fraud and deception, may have been the man who was actually released from Pasewalk Hospital a month later:
A young German soldier lies in a hospital bed, suffering from hysteria and mustard gas blisters. His face is bandaged with gauze. Is he really Adolf Hitler? When the bandages are finally removed, he will only slightly resemble his earlier person. A New Hitler is about to be hatched, a changed man, with almost no recollection of his past. His nose, forehead, and chin will seem permanently altered from inflammations caused by exposure to mustard gas. From now on, his voice will sound rough and croaking due to respiratory damage and coughing. He will wear dark glasses during the first period of recovery from his chemical blindness.
He will have extreme difficulty recognizing his close friends and remembering old acquaintances. But he will be a New Hitler indeed, always mindful of the miraculous change which guided him on his occult mission to lead Germany. Literally overnight, he will quickly discover his eloquent powers of ceremonial speech. And he will debate with dogmatic opinions about history, geopolitics, philosophy, and other things that never crossed his mind before. The uneducated country bumpkin who never had a girlfriend will suddenly emerge from a few weeks in hospital as a seasoned diplomatic leader and spy. He will even shamelessly seduce his own niece.
Yet ironically, in 1918 the New Hitler will abruptly lose his artistic talent. Out of awkwardness, he must abandon the art of applying paint to canvas, even as a pastime. The illustrator who once made a living by selling landscape paintings in Vienna <
http://www.msnbc.com/news/786563.asp > will now be all thumbs: he can't draw a straight line.
His artist's signature will not be the same. Hitler supposedly painted between one and three watercolors a day during his Vienna years. <
http://www.snyderstreasures.com/Pages/real_deal.htm > If one assumes he painted only one painting a day, and only three days a week, then the minimum number he would have painted would be six hundred, which is close to Hitler’s own recollection of "over a thousand." While the early years were doubtless lean at times, he was not nearly as destitute as he indicates in Mein Kampf.
After Hitler's stay in Pasewalk Hospital he stopped painting and concerned himself with politics. Yet it would be wrong to say that he no longer had time for art.
One of his most ambitious projects was codename Sonderauftrag Linz (Special Assignment Linz). It involved establishing Linz, Austria as the art capitol of Europe and stripping Vienna of that distinction. It is interesting to note that one of Hitler’s favorite official functions was the dedication of art galleries depicting a variety of artworks, past and present. Yet he himself would no longer paint. Only when critics became skeptical of his artistic talent did Hitler finally produce a few more paintings and architectural sketches in the 1920s and late 30s. (Of course, there were also forgeries and copies of his work which the Nazis ordered destroyed.)
If we assume that the real Adolf Hitler was still being held as a secret hostage since his stay in Pasewalk Hospital, it would not have been difficult for his military guards to persuade him (by threat or torture) to produce a few more paintings to satisfy the public's curiosity. Characteristically, Hitler's last artworks were interiors, as one might expect from a prisoner under secret arrest. It is highly possible that in those final paintings, the Pasewalk hostage left abstract visual clues about himself and his captors. <
http://www.blackraiser.com/hitlerart.htm >
Keeping a doppelganger hostage could serve two main purposes in this type of in-the-flesh identity theft. First, to be able to interrogate the hostage at will, and extract any relevant information about that person's life, including other people's names, past activities, and special experiences worth quoting or remembering. Second, if the secret plan to commit genocide or violate sovereignty went wrong, the look-alike hostage would be blamed and killed in a way resembling suicide. The real criminal would then be able to escape unnoticed. <
http://www.blackraiser.com/nredoubt/nohelp.htm >
Rumors of a Hitler-Hostage: Official World War Two intelligence reports from some nations disclosed formal references to "a war prisoner named Hitler." According to Reich leaders, the mysterious hostage was Adolf Hitler's favorite nephew, Heinz <
http://www.adel-genealogie.de/Hitler/is01/is01_110.htm >, who they said was captured by Soviet troops. Resembling an off-camera scene from Fleming's "The Man From UNCLE," an exchange of prisoners was supposedly set in motion with Stalin to free the obscure Hitler-Hostage. But his fate remains unknown. He is presumed to have died in a death camp in 1942.
http://www.blackraiser.com/nredoubt/identity.htmThe noted British surgeon Hugh Thomas <
http://books.guardian.co.uk/Print/0,3858,4145008,00.html > is chief spokesman for the growing opinion that not only Adolf Hitler had a doppelganger, but also Rudolf Hess and Heinrich Himmler. Perhaps all of the top Reich leaders kept look-alikes as part of a master contingency plan to escape unnoticed should the need arise. Dr. Thomas' doppelganger theory was finally investigated by Scotland Yard and the final report now remains hidden from the public. <
http://www.4thestate.co.uk/soon.asp?intBookID=103&Month=2 > A hundred-year ban has been imposed on key facts concerning the so-called deaths of certain Reich leaders.
Although inclined to doubt Thomas' doppelganger theory, L. Ingrams Jr. describes what he believes to have been a British plot to lure Rudolf Hess to England <
http://members.aol.com/LeonardIngrams/ > using Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, and the notorious occult Satanist Aleister Crowley: In Hugh Thomas' book, The Murder of Rudolf Hess (1979) Thomas recalls his medical examination of Rudolf Hess in 1973, while Hess was in Spandau Prison. He believed that there was a difference between Hess' medical records from World War I and the torso of the man imprisoned at Spandau. 'The torso cannot lie' wrote Thomas, convinced that the Hess in Spandau was not the real Rudolf Hess.
"Ian Fleming knew that Hitler, Himmler and Hess were all fascinated by the occult, <
http://members.aol.com/LeonardIngrams/britishconspircacy.html > particularly Astrology, but also by Occultist rituals. Secret Agents such as Frau Nagenast , an Astrologer who Hess consulted and paid, were employed to produce charts that pointed to the 10th of May being a propitious moment for Hess to fly to Britain. Fleming carefully made sure that the Astrological forecasts that Hess received from his usual Astrologers contained very similar information. This was accomplished using intrigue, bribery and forgery."
Fleming, who was part of the (ALSOS) mission to locate the Nazi nuclear site, hoped to arrange a face-to-face meeting between Rudolf Hess and Aleister Crowley in Britain. But Fleming's proposal was rejected by his superiors of higher rank in the British Intelligence Department.
http://www.intelinet.org/swastika/swasti02.htmThe Haushofer ConnectionKarl Haushofer had been a devout student of Schopenhauer, and during his stay in the Far East he was introduced to Oriental esoteric teachings. He became proficient enough to translate several Hindu and Buddhist texts, and became an authority in Oriental mysticism. Some authors even believe that he was the leader of a secret community of Initiates in a current of satanism through which he sought to raise Germany to world power, though these occult connections have been denied.
It is also believed that he belonged to the esoteric circle of George Gurdjieff. [2] Others claim that he was a secret member of the Thule Society. Some authors have linked Haushofer's name with another esoteric group, the Vril Society, [3] or Luminous Lodge, a secret society of occultists in pre-Nazi Berlin.
It was not until the age of forty-five that he obtained his doctorate with a brilliant thesis on Political Geography. He continued developing the ideas expressed on his dissertation, until developing a whole new doctrine he called geopolitics. [4]
Among Haushofer's students at Munich university was a young, bright army officer: Rudolf Hess. Soon Hess became Haushofer's favorite student. Later Hess also became one of the closest associates of Hitler. He was serving time with Hitler at Lansdberg. It is a
well known fact that it was Rudolf Hess who introduced Haushofer to Adolf Hitler, and also that the professor frequently visited the Führer while he was writing Mein Kampf in Landsberg Fortress prison after his failed Munich putsch in 1923.
After Hitler came to power in 1933, Professor Haushofer was instrumental in developing Germany's alliance with Japan. Most of the meetings between high rank Japanese officials and Nazi leaders took place at his home near Munich. He saw Japan as the brother nation to Germany, the Herrenwolk of the Orient.
Before the war Professor Haushofer and his son Albrecht maintained close contacts with British members of the Golden Dawn. [5] When war between Germany and England broke out Haushofer tried to use his influence with Hess in trying to convince Hitler to make peace with the British.
In the Spring of 1941, after having failed to convince Hitler, Haushofer urged Hess to make a direct contact with the
Duke of Hamilton, a Scottish member of the Golden Dawn. On may 10, 1941, Hess took off for Scot-land. Whether Hitler knew his plans or not is still subject of debate among historians.

5. The
Hermetic Society of the Golden Dawn was formed in England in 1887 by three members of the Rosicrucian Society. It was basically a society of occultists devoted to the study of magic.
Among its early members were the poet W. B. Yeats, the actress Florence Farr, the writer Arthur Machen, and the notorious
Aleister Crowley, who in 1905 broke away to found his own Order, the Argenteum Astrum.
The Golden Dawn was also popular among members of the British aristocracy. Among its affiliates were the Duke of Bedford, the Duke of Hamilton, and Sir Ivone Kirkpatrick.http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/sociopol_tavistock02.htmBecause of the intensive artillery barrages of World War I, many soldiers were permanently impaired by shell shock.
In 1921, the Marquees of Tavistock, 11th Duke of Bedford, gave a building to a group which planned to conduct rehabilitation programs for shell shocked British soldiers. The group took the name of "Tavistock Institute" after its benefactor. The General Staff of the British Army decided it was crucial that they determine the breaking point of the soldier under combat conditions. The Tavistock Institute was taken over by Sir John Rawlings Reese, head of the British Army Psychological Warfare Bureau.

It was the Marquees of Tavistock, 12th Duke of Bedford, whom Rudolf Hess flew to England to contact about ending World War II. Tavistock was said to be worth $40 million in 1942. In 1945, his wife committed suicide by taking an overdose of pills.
http://www.newdawnbooks.info/Reviews/SECRET_AGENT_666.htmlSecret Agent 666 There have been many biographies written about the Great Beast 666, Aleister Edward Crowley, the bisexual magician and mystic, champion chess player, mountaineer, writer and poet. Some of them have hinted at his possible involvement in the murky world of espionage and intelligence.
However, this is the first full-length study of the other secret life as a spy of one of the most extraordinary men of the 20th century.
Richard Spence, a consultant for Washington D.C.’s International Spy Museum and author of a biography of the famous spy Sidney Reilly, believes that Crowley was involved in espionage activities for the British Secret Service from his early days as a student at Cambridge University.
As a young man
Crowley belonged to a right-wing, semi-secret society called the Primrose League that spied on the perceived enemies of the Conservative Party. He also supported the Jacobite cause and was involved in plans for an abortive coup to restore the Bourbon royal dynasty in Spain.
Spence claims that Crowley was involved in spying missions to the court of the Russian Tsar and may have only joined the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn to investigate the shadowy political activities of its leader, Samuel ‘McGregor’ Mathers.
In the 1900s Crowley had a homosexual affair with the poet Victor Neuberg. The couple decamped to North Africa to practise sex magic rituals using Dr. John Dee’s Enochian system to summon up demons. While they were staying in Algeria, Crowley and Neuberg were being closely watched by the local French colonial police. They believed the Great Beast was on a secret mission in North Africa to gather information for British Intelligence, using his magical operations as a cover.
In 1910 Crowley met a German occultist called Karl Theodor Reuss, the head of an occult secret society called the Ordo Templi Orientis or Order of Eastern Templars (OTO). Reuss was a Freemason, an Illuminati and a Rosicrucian who had worked for the Prussian secret police in the 1880s. On their orders he had travelled to London and infiltrated the Socialist League, an extreme left-wing group led by the daughter of Karl Marx.
When Reuss was exposed, he returned to Germany and, posing as a journalist, visited the Balkans and the Middle East as a spy for German Intelligence. In 1912 Reuss initiated Crowley into the OTO and made him the head of the Order in Britain and later America.
Around the same time as he joined the OTO, it is alleged that Crowley was using his connection with Reuss to spy on the German government. However, when World War I began in 1914 Crowley was living in the United States. There he posed as an Irish revolutionary to infiltrate pro-German groups and engage in black propaganda on behalf of Britain’s SIS (Secret Intelligence Service or MI6) or the NID (Naval Intelligence Department).
Crowley’s cover story was assisted by stories planted in British newspapers denouncing him as a pro-German traitor and the police raided his magical temple in London.
In World War II Crowley allegedly offered his services again to the NID. In the 1930s he became friendly with Maxwell Knight, the assistant director of the Security Service (MI5), Ian Fleming, the assistant-director of Naval Intelligence who later penned the James Bond spy novels, and Dennis Wheatley, the occult thriller writer who served on Winston Churchill’s top-secret planning committee for total warfare.
When war broke out in 1939, Spence says that Crowley was interviewed by the NID and in his diary he recorded that the meeting went “as satisfactory as could be expected.”
When a combined NID/SIS sting operation managed to lure the top Nazi Rudolf Hess to Britain on his ill-fated ‘peace mission’ in 1941, Commander Ian Fleming of NID suggested to his superiors that he should be interviewed by Crowley. It is claimed in this book that Crowley did in fact interview Hess several times at a secret MI5 interrogation centre at Ham Common in south London.
Coincidentally this was not far from where Crowley was living at the time in Kew after leaving Central London to escape the Blitz.
In writing this book Richard Spence found it difficult to get official confirmation of Crowley’s career as a secret agent and spy. He made enquiries to MI5 and MI6 and was met with denials.
...
In fact Crowley was investigated and it was noted that his pro-German propaganda work was known to and had been approved by the British government. Crowley, in his role as a British intelligence officer, had also passed information on the activities of Theodor Reuss of the OTO to the deputy attorney general of the State of New York.
Richard Spence’s book is a well-researched and fascinating account of the clandestine links between occultists and the secret intelligence services of Britain, Europe and the United States.

Russell and Wells, who orchestrated so much of the evil of the 20th Century, were by birth and upbringing, men of the 19th Century, grown to manhood under the British Empire at the peak of its power, nursed on the tales of Kipling and the notion of the inborn superiority of the Anglo-Saxon race. Yet, they were clever enough to foresee its demise, and early on set themselves to the task of shaping a new world empire, more fearful and more evilly conceived than the openly declared global tyranny which was Victorian England. In his Experiments in Autobiography, Wells wrote of his own childhood:
In those days I had ideas about Aryans extraordinarily like Mr. Hitler's. The more I hear of him the more I am convinced that his mind is almost the twin of my thirteen-year-old mind in 1879; but heard through a megaphone—and—implemented. I do not know from what books I caught my first glimpse of the Great Aryan People going to and fro in the middle plains of Europe, spreading east, west, north, and south ... whose ultimate triumphs everywhere squared accounts with the Jews ... I have met men in responsible positions, L.S. Amery, for example, Winston Churchill, George Trevelyan, C.F.G. Masterman, whose imaginations were manifestly built upon a similar framework and who remained puerile in their political outlook because of its persistence.
(Wells only fails to note that the similarity of Hitler's outlook to the British one arises because Hitler was, like Moon, a synthetic personality and product of British-intelligence occult bureau and psywar penetration operations run into Germany at the beginning of the century.)...
The Coefficients
In his autobiographical account, written years later, Wells described the dilemma facing Britain at the time he was attending the monthly sessions of the elite Coefficients Club. The Coefficients was a cross between a diners club and a modern think-tank, which met monthly over dinners at London's St. Ermin's Hotel from 1902 to 1908.
Among the members of this unappetizing group was the powerful Lord Robert Cecil, elder statesman of Britain's most powerful family, and cousin to Arthur Balfour, then serving as Conservative Prime Minister. Lord Alfred Milner, the High Commissioner of South Africa, was a regular. A factional ally of Milner's in the serious debate that went on at these affairs was
Halford Mackinder, the newly appointed head of the London School of Economics and originator of the doctrine of geopolitics, who Hitler's ghostwriter for Mein Kampf, Maj.-Gen. Karl Haushofer, acknowledged as his source. Another Milner ally was Leo Amery, later intimate of Winston Churchill. The Earl Bertrand Russell was there, sometimes making up a faction of one.
The Viscount Edward Grey, a hereditary peer who was to play a crucial role in shaping the post World War I era, attended regularly. Sidney and Beatrice Webb, Fabian socialists who would soon embrace Benito Mussolini, were regulars. The Webbs, who were solidly middle-class academics, were credited with having organized the group, most of whose members became part of a later formation, known variously as the Round Table, Milner's Kindergarten, and the Cliveden Set. The name Coefficients might have been a play on Mrs. Webb's incessant references to improving "efficiency" in government

[6] The charge of Hess's membership in Buchman's cult is both credible and interesting. Long before he met Hitler, Hess was a member of satanist Aleister Crowley's Isis cult, known as the Ordo Templi Orientes, which crossed over into Crowley's satanic Order of the Golden Dawn, popular among students at Cambridge and Oxford. Born in Egypt, Hess bought an Egyptian sarcophagus for his burial, but proved too tall to fit in it; when he died, his legs had to be amputated and buried separately.
After the Munich putsch of 1923, Hess shared a jail cell with Hitler for nine months at the same time Mein Kampf was being written, by aid of frequent visits from its real author, Bertrand Russell's friend Karl Haushofer. Recall that Mein Kampf foresaw an alliance between Germany and England to fight the Russian peril. It is supposed that Hess helped Hitler, to a deeper understanding of the occult.
When Hess parachuted into Scotland in 1941, to seek a separate peace, he landed at the estate of the Duke of Hamilton, one of many former Nazis among the British aristocracy. Hess was representing a group of army officers and industrialists who wanted to save Germany from what they saw as sure defeat under Hitler. But Churchill would have none of it—he wanted Europe to bleed a good while longer. Hess was imprisoned in Britain for the remainder of the war.
http://people.tribe.net/ionamiller/blog/e7ce4dc9-5570-4c6b-ae19-204452d95625Ian Fleming on Crowley as a spyDuring the interrogation Rudolf Hess spoke in strange ramblings which some viewed as occult. Ian Fleming, who was involved with those interrogations, decided that help was needed. But who could he get who might understand these occult ramblings? Fleming thought about it and then suggested to his boss, Rear Admiral John Godfrey, "that Crowley should be allowed to interview Hess about the role of the occult in Nazism." (3) Fleming thought Crowley would be able to obtain further details on the influence of astrology with the Nazi leaders. It seemed like a good idea at the time. However it was his friend, Maxwell Knight, who spoke strongly against Crowley's involvement with Hess. It is said that Knight had no intention of allowing Crowley near Rudolf Hess, even though some historians have indicated that Crowley actually was a MI6 agent who spied on the Nazis and Communists in pre-war Berlin for the British government. Still, some members of the British Government, like Fleming, actually believed that Crowley could have helped in understanding Hess and other Nazi leaders. Both sides argued over this issue but Knight won out. In the end, Crowley was never summoned.
Aleister Crowley wrote a brief letter to Ian Fleming, now the Director of Naval Intelligence, offering his help.
Sir:
If it is true that Herr Hess is much influenced by astrology
and Magick, my services might be of use to the Department in
case he should not be willing to do what you wish. I have the
honour to be, Sir,
Your obedient servant,
Aleister Crowley (5)

According to Crowley biographer Richard Kaczinski ("Perdurabo"), there is solid evidence that AC was a spy for British intelligence (and possibly US intelligence as well) during WWI. His task, apparently, was to help bring America into the war on the side of the British.

Created White and Black Temple, Chancery Lane, London. 1899 - initiated into a witches¹ coven in Norfolk. 1900 - Purchased Boleskine House, Loch Ness, Scotland (bought by Jimmy Page in the 1970s). 1904 - Crowley revived the law of Thelema, the manuscript of 'The Book of the Law' dictated by his 'Holy Guardian Angel. ("Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law").
Between 1910 and 1912 Crowley was visited in his apartment in Victoria St <../MeyeSix/meyesix.html> by co-founder of the Ordo Templi Orientis and member of the german secret service, Theodor Reuss. O.T.O. is a magical group practising tantric sex magic, kabbalistic rituals and drug experimentation.
On April 21, 1912, twelve years before the founding of MGM <../MGM/mgm.html>, Aleister Crowley was appointed National Grand Master General of O.T.O. for Great Britain and Ireland. Crowley's appointment included authority over an English language rite of the lower (Masonic) degrees of O.T.O., which was given the name "Mysteria Mystica Maxima", or 'M.'.M.'.M.'.
1920-23 Crowley rented 'The Abbey of Thelema' in Cefalu, Sicily.
In 1925, after Reuss' death, Crowley became Outer Head of the Order (OHO).
In the 1920¹s and 30¹s Crowley/.'M.'.M.'.M.'. and O.T.O. were involved in political events of the C20th through spying for the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) on members of the Thule and Vril Societies <../VrilThule/vrilthule1.html>, German occultists with political links to the Nazi party, and on European comunist activities. During WW2 Crowley led an MI5 <../MeyeSix/meyesix.html> mission involving a magic ritual to send a psychic message to lure Rudolph Hess to Britain.
http://www.alessandrodefelice.it/introduzione_inglese.htmlThe Rudolf Hess’ flight of mystery: i.e., the Cold War focus of Spandau’s secret
"I have come here, in Great Britain, to save humanity," he said. "I am Rudolf Hess."
No single incident in Britain's wartime history has given birth to so many conspiracy theories, all of them centred on an alleged plot by the intelligence services to lure Hess to Britain. Hess flew to Britain in a Messerschmitt-110 on May 10, 1941, intent on making contact with the Duke of Hamilton, who he believed would help him mediate a peace deal whereby Britain would join Nazi Germany in a war against the Soviet Union. It was a hopeless mission based on a fundamental misunderstanding of the British establishment.
Winston Churchill, Britain's wartime prime minister, was convinced that it had produced an intelligence windfall for Britain. Seven months before Hess flew to Britain, in September 1940, one of his close advisers, Albrecht Haushofer, the leading expert on Great Britain in the German Foreign Office, had written to the Duke Douglas Douglas of Hamilton at Hess's request, attempting to set up a meeting in Lisbon. The letter, sent via an intermediary, an old family friend of the Haushofers, was intercepted and passed to MI5 (Military Intelligence 5), who initially suspected Hamilton and the intermediary might be German spies and began an investigation.
Much of the MI6 archives on Hess has been destroyed. But in the files there was a single, more recent reference that spoke of MI6 plans for "a sting operation" in response to the Haushofer letter. The MI6 historian also has access to oral histories from former officers and, where they are still alive, the officers themselves. In an account written for Hitler after Hess flew to Britain, Haushofer said: "I did not learn whether the letter reached the addressee. The possibilities of it having being lost en route from Lisbon to England are not small after all”. Despite official denials Hess flew to Britain with Hitler’s full knowledge; there was a substantial peace party in Britain in 1941, which included most of the aristocracy, and the Royal Family in primis. The King’s brother, the Duke of Kent, was actively involved in Hess’s peace mission;
there is substantial evidence that the prisoner who died in Spandau prison was not the real Rudolf Hess. The fate of the real Deputy Fuhrer was inextricably linked with that of the Duke in 1942. The terms of Hitler's peace proposal have been discussed up and down England not only in well-informed political circles but in pubs, bomb shelters and Pall Mall clubs. It was too elaborate a secret to be kept. Cabinet members presumably told their friends in Parliament and the MP's told their club colleagues and the news percolated down.
The filter of time, plus such cross-checking as is possible on a subject that is officially taboo, enables the writer to give the general outline, withholding details. Hitler offered total cessation of the war in the West. Germany would evacuate all of France except Alsace and Lorraine, which would remain German. It would evacuate Holland and Belgium, retaining Luxembourg. It would evacuate Norway and Denmark. In short, Hitler offered to withdraw from Western Europe, except for the two French provinces and Luxembourg [Luxembourg was never a French province, but an independent state of ethnically German origin], in return for which Great Britain would agree to assume an attitude of benevolent neutrality towards Germany as it unfolded its plans in Eastern Europe.
In addition, the Führer was ready to withdraw from Yugoslavia and Greece. German troops would be evacuated from the Mediterranean generally and Hitler would use his good offices to arrange a settlement of the Mediterranean conflict between Britain and Italy. No belligerent or neutral country would be entitled to demand reparations from any other country, he specified. Hess carried also proposals (and promoted) for spared the European Jews to die in Central Europe’s lager, simply advising British Government about the old idea of Polish Government to assign and to allocate the same Jews to Madagascar like their land.
So, if Hess ‘ proposals had been accepted in May 1941, never it would have been Shoah since 1942 to 1945. Alan Dulles, who became the head of the CIA, was of the opinion that the man who was condemned to life imprisonment at Nuremberg, was not the real Rudolf Hess - as was President Roosevelt himself. And in the 1970s, a British surgeon and ballistics expert, Dr. Hugh Thomas, actually had chance to physically examine the old man in Spandau. He knew that the real Hess had been wounded by a bullet in the First World War; so he looked on the old man’s body for signs of the wound but couldn’t find it. Now we’re not talking about someone who simply cast an eye over the man without knowing what he was looking for. Dr. Hugh Thomas is a surgeon and a ballistics expert who has been used in trials such as Bloody Sunday, so he really knows what he’s talking about.
Also, there are circumstantial things, if you like. The man at Nuremberg refused to see his family and in fact he also refused to see anyone other than his lawyer for over twenty years - which is astonishing considering that he’d been locked up as you would think he would want to see them. Also, at Nuremberg the man had very, very convenient amnesia. He behaved very oddly at Nuremberg, he failed to recognise people that had worked very close with the real Hess. And at times he also failed to recognise colleagues in the Nazi hierarchy. And they seemed to think there was something strange about him especially
Hermann Goring, a co-defendant at the trial. He was quite amused when someone was talking to him about Hess. This isn’t an exact quote, but Goring said: “Hess? Which Hess? The Hess you have here? Our Hess? Your Hess?”http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread291999/pg1Gerhardt Weithaupt: This is quite close to the spelling of Weishaupt who brought forth the Illuminati back into the open (a millenia long continuum) and brings to light, pun intended, that the Nazi creature was fabricated by the self-same or was meant as a signal to all Illuminati that they were duty bound to protect him.

The Full Story with New Evidence from Secret Russian Archives
By Ada Petrova and Peter Watson
...
The Russian newspaper Izvestiia ran a report that Hitler and Eva Braun were both alive and well, and living in a moated castle in Westphalia. This implied complicity on the part of the British, for Westphalia lay in the British zone of occupation. The report was followed by one in August, in which an American lawyer wrote to Hoover at the Fbi to say that the
former Fuhrer was living under the alias of Gerhardt Weithaupt in a house belonging to a certain Frau Frieda Haaf at
Innsbruck. With Hitler, said this lawyer, was his personal physician, Dr Alfred Jodl.
Another account also placed
Hitler at Innsbruck. The informant was an educated man - again a lawyer - rather than a peasant or an ill-educated private soldier. Another came from a German doctor, a man presumably trained in observation. Karl-Heinz Spaeth claimed he had treated Hitler on 1 May 1945 at his Berlin casualty clearing station ill the cellar of the Landwehrkasino right opposite the Bunker at the Berlin Zoo. Spaeth said that Hitler had been wounded at a tank barricade in the fighting around the Kustrin area of the city.
In his sworn deposition, he added: "Hitler was lowered to the floor. A shell fragment had pierced the uniform, went through his chest and entered the lungs on both sides. It was no use to do anything. I took a few first-aid bandages and bandaged him. During this time Hitler groaned continually. He was not fully conscious. To relieve his pain I went back to the collecting station to get some morphine and gave him a double strength injection. The general opinion was that Hitler would die. I examined his pulse and respiration and found that after about three minutes he had stopped breathing. The heartbeats continued for about three minutes and then ceased. After I had pronounced the Fuhrer dead and had informed the ss leaders of this fact I was released and went back to my work." Shortly afterwards, Spaeth said, the surviving ss leaders "blew the body into the air with two three-kilo charges of high explosives." He repeated his story to an officer of the Military Government, who in turn reported to Berlin in September. Everyone, everywhere, seemed determined to ignore Grand-Admiral Donitz's statement of 1 May.

Asked by one of the newspapermen if he was aware of the Russian view on Hitler's death, Trevor-Roper indicated that he thought the Soviets were sceptical - that is, inclined to the view that Hitler was not dead. As he said this, a Russian officer present nodded.
Trevor-Roper also dismissed the possibility that it was Hitler's doppelganger - his double - who had been burned. In the first place, he said, there wouldn't have been time to move the double's body in and out of the Bunker. Second, in his very poor physical condition, Hitler would not have been able to escape. And third, and most convincingly perhaps, Eva Braun herself would never have died willingly. - or been taken in by - such a substitute.
Finally, he conceded that there was no "conclusive proof" that Martin Bormann, Hitler's Personal - and Party - Secretary, was dead.
http://www.alessandrodefelice.it/introduzione_inglese.htmlAtomic espionage: Soviet Penetration of the Manhattan Project;
Occult circles have long been known as covers for espionage and influence peddling. Hitler's spy apparatus under Canaris and Heydrich were well aware of these conduits,
particularly from the direction of Britain which had within its MI5 intelligence agency a department known as the Occult Bureau. That these potential sources of trouble were purged from Nazi life should not be taken to mean that Hitler and the Nazi secret societies were not influenced by mystical and occult writers such as Madame Blavatsky, Houston Stewart Chamberlain, Guido Von List, Lanz Von Liebenfels, Rudolf Steiner, George Gurdjieff, Karl Haushofer and Theodor Fritsch. Although Hitler later denounced and ridiculed many of them, he did dedicate his book Mein Kampf to his teacher Dietrich Eckart.
Both Gurdjeiff and Haushofer maintained that they had contacts with secret Tibetan Lodges that possessed the secret of the "Superman". The lodge included Hitler, Alfred Rosenberg, Himmler, Goring, and Hitler's subsequent personal physician Dr. Morell. It is also known that Aleister Crowley and Gurdjieff sought contact with Hitler. Hitler's unusual powers of suggestion become more understandable if one keeps in mind that he had access to the "secret" psychological techniques of the esoteric lodges. Haushofer taught him the techniques of Gurdjieff which, in turn, were based on the teachings of the Sufis and the Tibetan Lamas- and familiarized him with the Zen teaching of the Japanese Society of the Green Dragon. The Nazi-Tibet connection is fascinating. The Vril Society believed that after the fall of Thule its survivors settled in Tibet, living in caves under the mountains performing magic. The Nazis sponsored expeditions to Tibet every year from 1926 to 1942. In 1926 German explorer George Roerich was also in Tibet, and recorded an amazing sight in his journal:
<<Something remarkable! In the morning some of our caraveneers noticed a remarkably big black eagle [symbol of Imperial Germany] flying over us. Seven of us began to watch this unusual bird. At this moment another of our caravaneers shouted, 'There is something far above the bird.' We all saw something big and shiny reflecting the sun, like a huge oval moving at great speed. Crossing our camp the thing changed direction from south to south-west. And we saw how it disappeared in the intense blue sky. We even had time to take our field glasses and saw quite distinctly an oval form with shiny surface, one side of which was brilliant from the sun>>. In 1929, three years after the Nazis had first made contact with the monks of Agarthi and Shamballah, a Tibetan colony was established in Germany, with branches in Berlin, Nuremburg and Munich. Apparently, however, only the monks of Agarthi were willing to help the Nazis.... The monks from Agarthi were known in Germany as 'The Society of Green Men,' because of their strong links - for hundreds of years - with the Green Dragon Society of Japan, to which Haushofer himself belonged. Indeed, seven members of the society joined up with the German-based group.
In Berlin, Hitler met regularly with the leader of the Tibetan community, a monk notable for his feats of clairvoyance and precognition. He was nicknamed <<the man with the green gloves>>, and on three separate occasions correctly predicted, in the press, the precise number of Nazi deputies elected to the German Parliament. He also foretold the exact date when Hitler would become leader of Germany, and even the date when the Second World War would begin. This level of successful prediction soon attracted wide interest among the Nazi occultists. Himmler, as well as Hitler, became deeply interested in Tibetan Lamaism. He set up an occult training college at the Berlin section and ordered members of the SS leadership to attend courses there, especially in magic. As a result of his contacts with the group, Himmler set up the Nazi Occult Bureau. This incorporated into one organization of the Thule group, the Vril Society and the German branch of the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) - Aleister Crowley's magical order. But we, instead, believe that Crowley belonged to British Secret Service. In a piece called Secret Agent 666 (Crowley called himself the Great Beast 666 incarnate), it finishes by noting:
Writing about his father's involvement with intelligence, Amado Crowley notes that <<his very eccentricity ... was his cover as an agent>>. Whatever the merits of his other claims, this observation fits the Great Beast's doing in WWI. Crowley is evidence that intelligence assets can come in all forms and embrace the most outlandish attitudes and behavior. His case may also say something about the reasons some accept such unrewarded and unappreciated duties. Why would a man with such evident contempt for social norms and prevailing ideas of human decency be moved to act on behalf of King and Country? Money, of course, but as Crowley supposedly noted with some bitterness, because the Germans paid him <<the British Government decided to pay me less>>. He explained his peculiar patriotism thus:
I still think the English pot's as black as the German kettle. and I am still willing to die in defense of that pot. Mine is the loyalty of Bill Sykes' dog ... the fact that he starves me and beats me doesn't alter the fact that I am his dog, and I love him.
