 That the more technology advances the less need WE have to enslave the masses.  That technology will render human slavery obsolete.  That advancements in technology will allow US to control the masses in an increasingly benevolent way.

 That the relative utopia that WE intend to create will still require of US to maintain control for a very long time until technology and genetic enhancements of the species progress to a point where a hierarchical structure of society is no longer needed.
