Here is an article I wrote about the Global Warming issue and how it is fueled by more than just politics and elitism.  There are societal under-currents that have to do with a shift in our thinking.  Most people that believe in Global Warming are not aware that they are involved in a scam.  So we should look at why there is so much energy behind this.  You can also watch the Great Global Warming Swindle and see my other articles on my blog at www.aquariangrail.blogspot.com

Cheers!

The Global Warming debate is on fire!  Pundits from all sides of the issue are ferociously chiming in; and the stakes have never been higher.  The scientists can not agree whether the climate change we are experiencing is a normal phase or if it is predominantly a man-made situation.  As far as the elites are concerned, they had better iron out the political debate now because they are losing traction fast.

Although the debate itself is fascinating and extremely important, there are deeper fluxes and flows happening here.  There are socio-evolutionary trends that are also playing into this issue and if we can become aware of them, we can not only understand the situation better, but we can help to solve it.

On an elite political level there is an agenda of global government behind the issue of Global Warming.  It’s a very convenient way to share common laws between nations and therefore weaken the sovereignty of all involved nation-states.  It can be used by those in power to dictate which countries are playing by the rules and offers an excuse for intervention if needed.  And of course most importantly, it’s a money maker.  A carbon tax can be used in many ways to shift money and power into the hands of the chosen few and out of the hands of the common man or woman. Developing nations are also being denied industrial growth options because of the percieved Climate Change threat.

But political trends either stick or do not stick depending on their emotional and psychological underpinnings.  If political issues can be sold to the public by accessing deep-seated emotional needs, they can have a much longer life.  But in the case of Global Warming, the politics are based on science, and here we have a unique situation.  Politicians and scientists do not think along the same lines.  They do not have the same goals in mind and this merger is destined to fail in my view.  It is data, facts, evidence that the scientist works with, not emotions.  If the facts do not stack up, the foundation for the political agenda is sure to collapse; it’s only a matter of time.  Just to think that politicians and economic elites are trusting scientists to make the case for their agenda is highly laughable! By the way, I don’t feel there is anything inherently wrong with a world-state, its only when the leaders have malignant intents that it becomes a problem.  I am not arguing for or against global government here, I am just pointing out the energies that flow under the politics. Whether or not humans are ready for a world-state is another issue completely.

Now lets go a bit deeper into socio-evolutionary terms.   If we look at man’s evolution from hunter-gatherers, to tribes, to city-states, to nation states, we can guess what is next.  The world-state is the logical next step.  And man’s personal psychological evolution is also moving in the same direction.  Personally and societally, we evolve from egocentric, to ethnocentric, to world centric.  Obviously, not everyone is on the same level, but in general, this is the direction of the flow.

We are now accustomed to the idea that a person with a purely egocentric worldview is a menace to society.  But indeed, we still have many of these types in circulation.  Most of us have accepted that extending our compassion to others in our group, nation, race, religion, fraternity, or even political party is normal and healthy.  Most of us can care for those even on the outer limits of an ethno-centric worldview.

A world-centric view is one where we can extend our compassion to those not affiliated with us in any way other than the fact that they are members of the human family.  To care for people just because they are humans is indeed world-centric.  “Progressives’ on all sides of the political spectrum can comfortably hold this view now.  Although when push comes to shove, we are hard pressed to find folks who will put equal value on those outside their group as those inside.  But they are with us.  We are now pushing into this realm and we can intuitively feel that this next step is a part of where we are going as a species.  A paradigm shift is happening.  A world-centric view is the future and with it will come world-centric business practices and world-centric politics.  Its really not scary, its evolution. As I said before, it’s the nature of this shift that determines whether or not global politics will be benign or malignant.

Back to Global Warming...  Armed with this knowledge, we can see that what is happening here is that elites are playing into the public’s intuitive need to think and act world-centrically as a way to push regulations that are intended to enslave us and divest us of our wealth.  But we are all playing a part in this shift, even the elites. They are part of nature’s game as well.

Now lets examine the trend from another position; western pollution and western guilt.  We first-world westerners are extremely privileged.  We live like kings and queens of yesteryear.  Our basic needs can very easily be met and many of us can live lives of fantastic material abundance.  But there are prices to pay for our way of life.  There are many consequences for our actions but one of them has been incredible ecological pollution.  Our way of life is not only killing other species but it is poisoning us, the humans.  We are killing ourselves by living the way we do.  We are obsessed with cleaning our houses, our cars, our clothes, etc.  But then we produce poison air, poison water and poison meat and fish.  Our fruits and vegetables now give us cancer rather than curing it.  We are turning the very ground we walk on, the ground that gives us our life into a massive, toxic, radioactive landfill. We can ignore it consciously, but we all know what is going on and we feel extremely guilty about all of it.  We all know something must be done but we are often too weak to take the first steps ourselves.  We like to let the politicians solve these things for us.

So what do the elites do?  They recognize the crisis; the external and internal crisis.  But in some key ways they are not as advanced as many of us are.  They are still running on old, lower level energies.  They can detect our subconscious concerns, but they will use them to fuel their own base desires. And in our darkest hour, they offer up ‘solutions’.  One of them is “Climate Change” politics.

And lets think about the term Climate Change for a moment. What’s wrong with this?   It’s the word ‘change’.  We all fear change of any type on a deep level.  It’s a natural condition.  Change means leaving a comfortable and safe way of living and replacing it with a new, unknown and possibly dangerous way.  So parading the term Climate Change is a good way to use fear to drive an agenda.

One thing that has very cleverly been done is to laterally shift our attention over from global pollution to global warming.  There is a massive debate about whether or not global warming is man-made.  And there is also a debate as to whether or not it is even important at all!  More CO2 in the atmosphere means more of what plants breathe and therefore more oxygen for us!  Humans have always proliferated in times of warmer weather.  An average climate that is 2-3 degrees warmer than now is not an issue for Planet Earth.  It never has been in the past, and it isn’t now.

The issue that DEMANDS attention is not Global Warming, its Global Pollution.  But when the focus goes on global pollution, who are the first culprits that stand out of the crowd?  Is it a suburban soccer mom or is it Exxon, Chevron, and Royal Dutch Shell?  Is it Mr. Yuppie and his BMW 7 series or is it big agri-business?  Is it we, the common man and woman scraping by or is it the multi-national corporations and energy giants?  And who do you think would have to make the biggest sacrifices of profits if the attention was put on Global Pollution rather than CO2 based Global Warming?  Who cares about CO2 when Sulfur Dioxide, Mercury and Fluoride among many other toxic pollutants are belching out of factories into our water and air supply?

Now the solution.  First, let us pay tribute to those who are on the ground level making personal sacrifices in the name of Global Warming, Climate Change or world-centric thinking in general.  Rather than fighting those who correctly intuit that something must be done, let us join with them.  But rather than warring with those who are moving into a world-centric view about whether Global Warming is real or not, lets educate them about the propaganda and political motives and use their energies in a positive way.

One thing we can all get on board with is an attack on Global Pollution.  Especially big business and it’s contributions to the problem.  Lets join our Global Warming friends on the lower levels of the movement and encourage them to shift into a Global Pollution consciousness rather than a false Global Warming paradigm.  Rather than going head to head with our brothers and sisters who correctly intuit a healthy shift into a world-centric mentality, lets work with them.  But let us concentrate on the real issue here: Global Pollution, not Global Warming.

"The psychological rule says that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside, as fate. That is, when the individual remains undivided and does not become conscious of his inner opposite, the world must perforce act out the conflict and be torn into opposing halves." C. G. Jung
