Two explosions heard at 1WTC , reported on local NYC cable at 8:51AM

I just listened to an interesting account of 9/11 phoned in to NY1 (a local cable news station in New York) at 8:51AM EDT on September 11, 2001 (i.e., five minutes after the first crash).  You can hear it at:

Click on either “Dial Up” or “Broad Band” (whichever is appropriate for your computer) next to the picture captioned:

“At the NY1 anchor desk, morning anchor Pat Kiernan reports news of a fire at the World Trade Center.”

If you listen to what the caller says, however, he clearly says he heard TWO explosions as he rode down West Street in a car that had just emerged from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, and that, after that, he saw a big tire falling, followed by much debris.
