Too bad it's just a District court ruling. The Patriot Act should be cut down in Congress... or at the very least challenged in the Supreme Court... all the way to the top.

Finally a federal judge who can interpret the Constitution as it was intended to be used!!!!!

OHHH....I can bet you this is going to the Supreme Court.   Attorney General office will be forced to appeal the decision.  Whoever wins that one, the loser is going to appeal to the Supreme Court.  The problem is that that all takes time and I don't know how much of it we have.

Just imagine in this day and age, a judge that believes the Fourth amendment should still be in force.
FOURTH AMENDMENT [U.S. Constitution] - 'The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.'
I hope he's keeping an eye on those other pesky amendments as well.

Agreed, this one isn't over. No question the White House will respond with a vengence. Personally, I expect there to be some kind of Executive Order come out of it, so they can take the courts out of the loop. Like the judge ruled, I don't see any way around the Constitution, that's assuming if one approaches it with respect to the Constitution.

The Bush administration can't win in the court of law on most of the crap they're pulling, so that's why the have used Executive Order/Priviledge so much.

When in politics and faced with two men who are both evil, do you choose the lesser of those two evils? NO! Execute them both and find someone who is *not* evil.
